About the adventure
You start as a member of a thieving crew, out to make your next score against one of the noble houses of the final empire. This is no simple smash and grab, but an audition: your contact has promised that a success on this job will bring you one step closer to your true goal: joining the rebellion. In this adventure, you'll weave between high-society galas and hidden hideouts, and along the way uncover plots by agents of the lord ruler intent on stamping out whatever hope the rebellion might offer to the downtrodden inhabitants of the capital city. This is a great opportunity to try out the Cosmere RPG, whether you are a TTRPG veteran curious about a new system or a lover of the Misborn book series who is new to the world of tabletop roleplaying games. Familiarity with the setting is not a requirement, and I intend to make this adventure welcoming to all players. You are also welcome to drop in and drop out as you are available - there are always new rebels waiting to take up the cause!

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hi there! Since my first homebrew D&D 5e campaign in 2015, I have loved every moment of being a game master. I live for the times where the game comes alive and both the players and I can’t wait to see what happens next. In addition to Dungeons and Dragons, I've also had a great time exploring new genres through systems like Monster of the Week and Avatar: Legends, and can’t wait to use even more games to share everything the hobby has to offer. My proudest moments as a DM have been guiding new players as they find their voice, watching them embrace the suspense and laughter of a game. The most fun moments for me are giving voice to NPCs that delight the table and finding ways to give players' actions weight and create ripples in the broader world that come back to drive the story. As a trans woman, I also love the potential of ttrpgs as an opportunity to explore identity! It was a wonderful way for me to test the waters before first sharing who I really am with the world. With the moderation of safety tools, it can be so much fun to explore a different side of yourself, whether you are just beginning to question or are settled and comfortable in your gender and who you are. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or just beginning to explore tabletop roleplaying games, I’m looking forward to our next adventure together!

Preparing for the session

What Brooke - Wrathanet brings to the table
My goal as Game Master is to create an immersive experience, through music, voiced characters, and giving life to the limitless possibilities that you can only get from a TTRPG! I use the rules as guidelines, a system to put your character to the test, but also to be bent in the face of creative ideas and dramatic moments so we can tell the best story.

How Brooke - Wrathanet creates a safe table
Before our first session, I ask players to fill out a safety checklist for sensitive topics that I should be mindful of during the game. Additionally, I include the "X, N, O" card system in a variety of ways for players to use as they feel comfortable (verbally speaking red light, yellow light, or green light, typing X / N / O into chat, or using the player safety deck tool in Roll20. Sessions will include a break at the halfway point for decompression and deciding on your path forward.
