About the adventure
9:00 PM–12:00 AM Eastern Time (ET) / 6:00 PM–9:00 PM Pacific Time (PT). You've been hired to escort a wagon to the frontier town of Phandalin. The job seems straightforward enough: get the supplies there safely, collect your reward, and move on. Your employer, the dwarf Gundren Rockseeker, has already travelled ahead with an important delivery of his own. But when danger strikes along the road, the job takes a very different turn. Gundren is missing. His delivery may be more important than anyone realised. And the frontier surrounding Phandalin holds secrets that could change everything. What begins as a simple escort mission soon becomes a journey of discovery, dangerous encounters, unexpected allies, and a mystery waiting to be unravelled. Welcome to Lost Mine of Phandelver, a classic Dungeons & Dragons adventure where your choices help shape the story. Explore dangerous wilderness, investigate strange happenings, meet memorable characters, and face the creatures and dangers lurking beyond the frontier. Whether you prefer tactical combat, immersive roleplay, following a trail of clues, or finding creative solutions to unexpected problems, there's room for your character to make a difference. New to D&D? You're welcome here. You don't need to know every rule or have years of roleplaying experience to join the adventure. If you're a beginner, you'll have the opportunity to learn as we play. If you're a seasoned adventurer, you'll have room to develop your character, make meaningful decisions, and help shape the journey ahead. Join the Unwritten Realms and discover what awaits beyond the frontier. The road is dangerous, Gundren is missing, and the greatest discoveries are still waiting to be made. Will you uncover the secrets of Phandalin?

About me
I started GMing about four years ago for a group of friends. What began as something I wanted to try has grown into a long-running game that we’ve continued playing together ever since. I’ve loved D&D long before I became a GM. I spent years watching actual plays, learning about the game, and digging into the technical side of running sessions. Over time, that interest naturally turned into a passion for creating and running games of my own. One of my favorite parts of being a GM is crafting stories and worlds for my players to explore. I love seeing the unexpected ways players interact with a world, solve problems, and shape the story through their own decisions. While I may have an idea of where a story could go, I enjoy letting the players’ choices create moments I never could have planned myself. For me, a great D&D game is a collaborative story where everyone gets the chance to contribute, have fun, and create memorable moments together.

Creating your character
Character Builder: Use whichever character builder you're comfortable with. If you're new to D&D, D&D Beyond or a similar tool is a great place to start. You're also welcome to use other free or open-source character builders. Races and Classes: All official races and classes are welcome. Homebrew options are also allowed, but please check with me first. I may need to make adjustments to keep things balanced and fair for everyone at the table. Ability Scores: I recommend using the Standard Array, especially if you're new to D&D. If you prefer more flexibility, Point Buy is also welcome. Starting Level: All characters begin at Level 1. Not sure what to play? Don't worry! If you're a beginner or need help building your character, feel free to reach out. I'm happy to help you bring your character concept to life.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Required Accounts You'll need free accounts on Discord and Roll20 for communication and gameplay. You do not need to purchase a subscription to either platform. Once your place in the campaign is confirmed, I'll send you invitations to our private Discord channel and Roll20 game, where our maps and virtual tabletop will be hosted. Know Your Character I recommend taking some time to read through your character's abilities, spells, and features so you understand what they can do. This helps keep combat running smoothly and allows you to make the most of your character's abilities in combat, exploration, and roleplay. Optional: A Second Screen For a smoother experience, consider having your character sheet open on your phone, another screen, or a separate device while playing. This makes it easier to reference your abilities, spells, and actions without switching away from the game. New to D&D or virtual tabletop gaming? No worries! I'll help you get set up and guide you through anything you need to know.
What Rgee Bautista brings to the table
An Immersive Experience I'll provide maps and ambient music through Roll20 to help bring the world to life and immerse you in the adventure. NPC Voices and Roleplay I'll do my best to give NPCs their own voices and personalities, making conversations and encounters more engaging. Balanced but Meaningful Combat I'll do my best to balance encounters for the party while keeping them challenging. Your characters won't always have an easy fight, so think strategically, work together, and be prepared for the unexpected! Rules and the Rule of Cool The rules provide the foundation for our game, but there's always room for creativity. If you have a cool or unconventional idea, tell me what you want to do, and let's see if we can make it happen! We'll work out what's possible, and when the outcome is uncertain, the dice will help decide your success. Above all, I'll provide a table where your choices matter, creativity is encouraged, and everyone has the freedom to shape their own adventure.
Homebrew rules
All our house rules, homebrew mechanics, and table guidelines are available on our Discord server, The Unwritten Realms. Once you've joined, please take a moment to visit the START HERE section and read through the rules before our session. This will help everyone start on the same page and ensure we have a fun, fair, and welcoming experience together. If anything is unclear, feel free to ask! Questions are always welcome.

How Rgee Bautista creates a safe table
Session 0: Getting Ready for Adventure Approximately one week before the campaign begins, I'll arrange a Session 0 with all players. We'll aim to meet at our usual session time, and the meeting will last around one hour. During Session 0, we'll cover: Table Safety: Discuss everyone's Lines and Veils and how to use the Pause Card if anyone needs a moment during play. Character Introductions: Introduce our characters and get to know the party. Campaign Briefing: Go over the campaign's premise, setting, expectations, and what you can look forward to. Hands-On Practice: Spend around 30 minutes getting comfortable with roleplay, Roll20, dice rolls, and basic game mechanics through a short practice encounter. The goal is to make sure everyone feels comfortable, understands how our table works, and is ready to jump into the adventure when Session 1 begins.
