About me
I’m a vibe checking, drama first game master. I see my role as guide and facilitator bringing a world to life. A little bit storyteller, guide and lover of plot twists all rolled into one. Come to my table and be immersed in fantastic worlds of wonder and camaraderie. You will also see me tinkering to tailor games to what my players need to create legends. In my other life, I am an award winning writer of stories inspired by Palestinian folklore. My stories have won the Ignyte and Ember awards for contribution to genre, and been nominated for a Pushcart prize, Locus Award, Lammy, and Best New Weird Award. I’m a graduate of the 2025 Clarion West Writers’ Workshop cohort. I have even been invited to speak on ttrpgs at Worldcon panels in years past. Characters will be created during out of character chat on a Discord server with the guidance of the game master.

Preparing for the session
Players will only need to join my discord server, where we will be playing asynchronously via text chat.
What Sonia Sulaiman brings to the table
Each month, I will set challenging scenarios for the characters that they can respond to over the course of the game, telling their unique stories. I will be playing all major and minor NPCs, the environments, and adversaries. I will be available daily to role play NPCs and to resolve actions during encounters. Each week will be a milestone in the story.
