About the adventure
The Giant's Entrails: In this entry-level One-Shot scenario, the Characters are assigned their first task that will also be their Certification Test - Pass, and you'll be welcomed into the company... Fail and you'll be made an example of. Welcome to Dungeon Inc. The Dungeon: Centuries old, discovered by Mr. Noir (a Naturalist by all accounts) who turned this mountainous tower into what it is now: a deathtrap for foolish Adventurers seeking wealth and fame. But, running a few dozen Aeries (dungeons to you and me) takes a lot of work. There's stocking the place, re-setting traps, designing new ways to trick and kill the Clients, managing the denizens that have made it their home, the admin and paperwork that comes with staffing the works, Monster Resources... That's where you come in. Starting at the bottom of the corporate ladder, a lowly peon. A tiny cog in the machinations of Mr. Noir. Do your job, and do it well. Get paid. Wheedle your way up the ranks, navigating office politics, and maybe - just, maybe - you could become a senior operative, or even a department head. If you don't die. Dungeon Inc is a TTRPG that lets players be the monsters behind the curtain. It leans toward being more role-play and creative problem solving than combat and treasure hunting. TOUCHSTONES: Ugly Americans, Discworld, Cabin in the Woods, Dungeon Keeper, Monsters Inc.

About me
Here to play games. TTRPG games to be specific. Started out with D&D 5e a few years back as a player and got hooked. Ran a few one-shots before doing the whole LMoP/DoIP beginner's campaign as a GM. I've tried, and picked up a few other game systems along the way, Old-School Essentials, Mörk Borg, Symbaroum, and Alien are some favourites. I like to think I've an open OSR style of GMing, preferring rulings over rules - I pick and choose from greater minds to try and become a better player and GM.
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Character Creation in Dungeon Inc is a combination of randomised rolls and Player-GM creativity: there are no set "Classes" or "Species/Kindreds" to choose from. Instead, you decide what intelligent monster you'd like to be and what Traits they might have. There are some options for "Training" and guidelines as to what is possible and appropriate, and from there you and the GM determine how things not determined in the text will work. A guide will be available on the Discord server, and Character Creation will be done prior to or during the first Session.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need Discord for voice chat and sharing of game materials, and a free account with Forge-VTT.com in order to access Foundry VTT. Foundry plays best with Chrome or Edge browsers. You will need a decent mic and headphones. Discord offers push-to-talk mode if you can't help the background noise around you. Once added to the Discord server, you'll have access to the player materials - we'll address the specific rules as and when required, and a link to the game will be shared.
What Adam brings to the table
I often use custom made maps & tokens, and will provide materials for Character inspiration and creation as well as lore for the settings, as appropriate. Foundry VTT offers some fun features - maps, 3D dice, visual effects, and there'll be the usual ambient sounds and music to set the mood, which will hopefully make the experience more immersive for all. I make use of AI generated assets to fill in the gaps from time to time, for example when I can't find appropriate scene imagery or token art.
Homebrew rules
When in doubt, use common sense.
