About the adventure

Deicide is a Dungeons & Dragons adventure that takes place across two islands, Aurora and Limdorkal. The story told here happens some hundreds of years after the beginning of D&D 5th Edition, and the Overgod Ao is trapped inside an item, which limits the workings of gods around Toril. Any divine-based abilities and classes now worship the pagan gods of Nature, or evil Devils and Fiends instead. The characters will be able to learn more about the missing Gods, and about a mythical folklore artifact known as the Wand of Wonders, which carries the powers of the Gods.Through their adventures, they will be able to visit other realms, planes, and dimensions, as well as come into contact with different races and civilizations. This campaign is designed to begin with a party of four to six 1st-level characters, who should advance to 20th level by its conclusion.

About me

I've been a DM for about 5 years now and I specialize in horror and grimdark campaigns. I've mostly ran Grim Hollow and CoS games, and 5e conversions of VtM.

Character creation

Creating your character

No wings and no dark vision. No min-maxing. Stats and HP(starting at level 2) will be rolled. Starting at level 1. Sheets can be filled on the fillable PDF or on a site such as DnD Beyond or Roll20. Just as long as you can send it to me.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Just have a Discord account and either physical or online dice. Owlbear requires no account to be made in order to join rooms, so no worries on that.

What Hollow brings to the table

I will use music and ambient noise. I'm very passionate about immersion and typically use more animated realistic style battlemaps rather than the more artsy/cartoony ones. Rule of Cool is used and encouraged and I'm very loose on the rules, so please no rule lawyering.

Homebrew rules

- Failing Saves : You can fail Saving Throws, Attack Rolls, or Ability Checks on purpose. - Spells VS Objects : Objects and images can be considered creatures when talking about targeting rules. - I Know A Guy : As players travel around, they can (if it makes some sort of sense) claim their characters know a guy from the town or village. This acquaintance has no special connections or skills, but can provide lore, quests, or whatever else the DM needs to the party, and is a good source of story hooks.
