About the adventure
Resting on the Swan Coastal Plain sits the city of Perth. Known by the Aboriginals as Boorloo, the city stands on land that has been occupied for over 50,000 years. Longer than there has been modern man. Longer than there has been kindred. This land has always had someone who called it home. And tonight... it is yours. Once upon a time, you were a regular citizen of Perth. You woke up, went to work, paid your taxes, went to bars and maybe occasionally got lucky with the local nightlife. And then one night, you found yourself loving the nightlife so much... that you now live only for the night. Because now, you are dead. And yet, you still get up. You still deal with bosses and coworkers and the needs to get rich and get fed. Only now the Chinese takeaway isn't what you crave. It's the delivery boy. In Circle of Perth, you and your friends step into the role of a newly-minted coterie taking your first real steps into the world of darkness. Perth is a city for the Anarchs, but soon you learn that even anarchy has rules. You still have bosses to work for, politics to navigate, and rules to enforce. And of course, plenty of skulls to crack when someone steps out of line. You are stepping into a world where the brightest smiles, the bloodiest fists and the most veiled threats will get you everything, so long as you are ambitious enough to take it. But there is always someone looking to take it from you. Rival gangs and coteries gunning for your turf. Ambitious hunters looking to reenact their favourite scenes from Supernatural. Things older than the plains themselves lurking deep in the shadows... Let them come, mate. Let them see what you and your friends can do. Circle of Perth is intended as an introduction-level chronicle for those who have always wanted to step into the World of Darkness. Set in the same universe as Unsafe Harbour, Suite of Melbourne and Mecca of the Sabbat; Circle of Perth is a new Australian-based chronicle whose events and actions may tie in to the other stories told in this shared version of Australia. With Suite of Melbourne, we have taken a look at the Camarilla. In Mecca of the Sabbat, we see how the Sword of Caine operates in these new nights. In Unsafe Harbour, the Independents rule with utter madness and religious fervor. And now, Anarchs reign in the Circle of Perth.

About me
A humble player of rpgs who has been behind and in front of the screen consistently for over two decades, I am a lover of all editions of D&D, Pathfinder, Shadowrun and WoD. Experience in running 3.5, 4th and 5th edition D&D, Shadowrun, various WoD and CoD campaigns and games both independent and obscure. My games run from simple, heartfelt adventures to deep social dramas and good old-fashioned dungeon diving!

Creating your character
We will schedule and have a session zero to work on our characters together. Our characters will be between 11th and 13th generation, with the oldest being neonates. For people who do not have the rulebook, I will be providing copies of the rulebook. We will be generating our characters on sheets through the Realms of Darkness app, as that is also the dice bot used in the Discord. During session zero, we will also be discussing lines and veils and other safety tools.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players should have a stable connection to the internet, as well as a Discord account and microphone.
What The Humble Chris brings to the table
In terms of materials, I will provide the core rulebook, character sheets, and a dice bot for us to use in our excursions. As for myself, I bring twenty years of Storytelling and Game Mastering experience to the table. My focus as a Storyteller is to serve as your guide: to set the stage and lead you down the rabbit holes. The style I have honed is very player-forward: you are the ones commanding the action. There will be times when I ask how your character is feeling: to play Devil's Advocate and explore the thoughts and emotions behind your character's decisions and the anticipation they feel in the moment of the hunt. I am a big believer in the Rule of Cool: if there is something you want to attempt, and it sounds awesome (and plausible) enough, there is a very good chance that you can roll for it. And how those dice land, is how we play it out. My games are LGBTQIA+ friendly, and I foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where everyone should feel free to be themselves.
Homebrew rules
The only homebrew rule I employ is Achievements: If you do something awesome once per session, you will gain an extra Experience Point in the form of an Achievement declaring your job well done. Achievements are awarded through the completion of a task, making a particularly difficult roll, throwing your character out there, or doing something that just brings a smile to my face.

How The Humble Chris creates a safe table
Players will be provided a link to a Lines and Veils pdf, which is to be filled out and submitted prior to Session Zero. During Session Zero, the players and I will go over their established Lines and Veils, as well as discuss other subjects which may be taboo which weren't present on the sheet or were thought of later. During our sessions, we will take a break halfway through so that I may touch base with the players and make sure they are still comfortable and having fun. Whenever there is a heavy scene or someone asks for a scene to stop, we will also employ these breaks to make sure everyone is okay. Each session will also end with a brief discussion on what the players liked, how they feel the game is going, and any concerns they would like to address. My DMs will also be open for players to discuss their concerns in confidence. Over the course of play, players will be asked to submit their X, N and O's to me through DM to maintain their confidentiality.
