About the adventure
Welcome to the Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG, You will enter the dungeon and go through the First Five Floors. Wow, say that 5 times fast. Session 0 will involve building our Characters, and going over key specific rules of this system. Whether you want to make a homebrew race or class, or you want to follow in the footsteps of Donut and be a Former Child Actor or Carl and be great with traps and be part of the Desperado Club. It can all be done with this Roleplay Game. So I hope you enjoy reading Dungeon Crawler Carl and are excited for the television series coming out that you want to dive into the world and take the Dungeon on yourself. We will do a learn by playing and taking it slow. So sessions wont be fast paced and questions only help everyone learn. Ill share the resources with you and help you through the process as we all learn this together. Sessions will be held through discord voice and it will be using Foundry VTT for the visual. Until the Official VTT comes out, we will use the PDF Character Sheets and use the VTT for Rolling and moving tokens.

About me
Hey, I’m McClain, Disabled Army Veteran. I am a huge nerd and love to research lore. I wear a tin hat just for fun because lets face it, we all have little crazy in us. I am in my 30s and have been playing TTRPGS for several years. I started out with Warhammer 40k TTRPG, specifically Rogue Trader. Then Dark Heresy. I moved to Dungeons and Dragons 5e while I was in the Army because 40k got too expensive under Citadel. I have GMd for almost 8 years now and I have ran games ranging from Dungeons and Dragons to the Science Fiction universe of 40K to the Anime world of Pokemon with Pokemon Tabletop Adventures. I do enjoy a good game regardless of the genre. I have the Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG and am looking to teach you how to play, I am also looking to run Starfinder 2e and Warhammer 40k as well once I figure out the best way to run them. Creating your character
We will build characters during Session 0, going through the book and I will be answering any questions specific to character creation. The bulk of Session 0 will be creating the character, but the goal is to give access to the rulebook beforehand so you can read through it and have an idea of what you want to do. If it is in the book its fair game. If you want to create your own there are rules on how to do it and guide to help along the way. I will also have Premade Characters for you to choose from if you would rather just have a premade character.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Once you join I will get you access to the Rulebook at session 0 for you to read through if you want, It is best to read through and come to session with questions of things you dont understand and I can take each session slow and explain as we play so you can learn as you go and stop and ask questions if needed. We will be using discord for Voice chat so please have a free account ready for that. I will be running the game through Foundry VTT which wont cost you anything.

A fun and creative story and safe space. Safety is too priority of mine. Im a rule of cool GM. I create immersive, living worlds. Expect detailed maps, distinct character voices, evocative visuals, ambient touches, and dynamic NPCs that make the city breathe around you. I want you to feel like you’ve stepped into the story. At my table, safety and belonging come first. I am fiercely protective of every member of my community, including LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, femme-presenting, ESL, and disabled players. Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG is built to encourage Homebrew creations for characters. So I am for it and will allow it, but I do not have any rules for the game that are not in the core rulebook.
