About the adventure
The False Desolation is a long-form, character-driven campaign set in the time just before the Recreance that focusses on the Singer side of the story. The war between Singers and Humans has been going on for millennia. Now, Ba-Ado-Mishram, one of the Unmade has discovered a way to replace the long held God of the Singers. She promises to empower the Singers without the odious influence and create a peaceful world for the Singers. But the Singer people are divided, with some supporting the attempt to subjugate humans while others want nothing to do with the war. Your are ordinary Singers caught in the tumult. You may start off as inexperience,d uncertain, and idealistic - but as you grow, canon may be confirmed or transformed based on your actions! This campaign is for players who want to explore a corner of Roshar canon barely touches, and to roleplay the war from the Singers' side. Contains Stormlight spoilers through Wind and Truth. This is a campaign for players who want to explore Roshar in a time not heavily covered in canon, and engage in roleplay from the Singer's side of the conflict. There will be Stormlight spoilers until and including Wind and Truth.

About me
I've been writing stories and doing theatre for over 20 years, and started finding expression for these hobbies in role-playing games. I'm currently focused on running online games for the Cosmere RPG as I really enjoy the narrative-driven nature of the system. I like to run games that feel lighthearted and fun with witty exchanges between characters being a backdrop for growth, change, and meaningful moments. ---- Also, shout out to landscapesbyashleigh for letting me use her art for the banner. Creating your character
We will primarily be using Singers for this campaign (though I'm open to a story about a human who lives among Singers!) There will be some homebrew for later levels depending on the direction you want to take your characters. Please make drafts of your characters before the first session and we can discuss how to tie your backstories together into the campaign during Session 0! We will use demiplane for character creation, and I can share content (so you don't need to purchase anything).

You will need a discord, roll20, and demiplane account. You do not need a subscription for anything.

Homebrew rules
We can discuss homebrew during Session 0, but there are aspects to the Cosmere RPG that are not fully fleshed out yet. Any homebrew I make for the campaign will be discussed before being enforced. How Aki creates a safe table
We use the deck of player safety to decide themes that should not be included in the campaign. We play over voice only (no video) and you can send X, N, Os in our chat thread to prompt us to change, skip, fade to black, etc. When new members join we will have a quick touch base (like a session 0) to ensure we're still all on the same page for lines / veils etc. We will take the last 5~10 minutes every session to decompress and reflect on the session so that I can tune future sessions to better fit the group!
