About the adventure
This is a grand adventure starting at level 1 and going indefinitely as you explore the vast, ringed world of Astrathea! Gather your party and quest through a world with powerful spheres of magic, pilotable mechs known as Raptors, and deadly Astral Titans that destroyed the world long ago. Think Final Fantasy or old-school World of Warcraft, with a dash of D&D magic to keep us always on our toes.

About me
Hi! My name is Ian and I have been a DM for over 25 years! I started with 3rd edition D&D, and these days play 5e and 5.5 edition dungeons and dragons. I play with mostly homebrew worlds and have over a thousand pages of lore, custom classes, spells, monsters, magical items, and spiecies to draw from. I am a feminist, am LGBTQ+ friendly, and like to run Final Fantasy-esc high fantasy campaigns with lots of adventure.

Creating your character
We will have a session 0 where we can create the characters together, as I also can provide a vast number of homebrewed classes and species. A player is welcome to start on a character ahead of time if they wish.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
No need to prepare in advance as I have quite a few documents on additional rules and the setting itself to provide when we actually get together. No pressure!
What Ian brings to the table
I will provide maps, documents on homebrew rules, magic items, spells, classes, and the like. We can use VTT of some kind if we decide, though I work just as well (often better) with a campaign primarily utilizing detailed descriptions and theater of the mind.
Homebrew rules
We use a simple system for Sanity States of characters, we use an alternate rule involving cards for Critical Successes, attacks, and failures. I also provide a "Star Sign" system at character creation that grants characters special benefits depending on when they were born (similar to the star signs of some Elder Scrolls games). We also do Max HP per level! Some other rules can be added and discussed.

How Ian creates a safe table
I can send out a detailed document on Lines and Veils if the group wishes, but we will definitely go over what is okay and not okay in session 0! These stories will not contain sexual violence of any kind, nor will a player ever be discriminated against for their real-life gender, sexuality, race, or beliefs at my table. Not by me, nor by any other player. Ever.
