About the adventure
Journey into Vaultiel is an action horror-inspired one-shot and my first game on StartPlaying, set in my homebrew world of Mundus draconum. The city of gold and gods is waiting for you, whether you are seeking to get into the vault to plunder its riches, seek lost knowledge, or wish to find the reason why this city, so favored by the gods, disappeared without a word. You will start as whoever you'd like to be; perhaps you are a farmhand who's been looking for a chance to prove himself, a knight seeking a noble cause, or just a scholar who can't miss out on an opportunity like this. This One-Shot is for everyone! Whether you've just learned how to roll a die or you're a veteran wanting to have some fun, as your character, you can be someone who seeks to journey into the unknown, to go where none has gone before. Whether you will come back is uncertain, but for those who do, riches and experience come with them! This will be a darker setting based on your traditional fantasy setting in D&D, but your choices matter! Whether that's for better or worse will remain to be seen. Work together as a group, and your choices may lead you to make it out alive to tell another tale, or be another forgotten soul in the city of Vautiel

About me
Hello! My name is Butch. I have always been a fan of tabletop games and have 2 years of DMing experience under my belt. I have been an active player and dm since high school, and I have great joy in both playing and bringing a world to life by DMing. My experience with tabletop has been a rocky road, but it has smoothed out in recent years, from my early days of starting out and not knowing how to play, and being plagued by groups falling apart or a bundle of bad apples souring the group, to now actively running a long-running campaign that expresses creative freedom and power to my players as they explore my homebrew world and find it a living breathing world which choices are made and the world evolves around it for better or for worse. Overall, I am someone who has a passion for D&D, and as a Dm wishes to give my players the power and make the world they play in feel alive, as each of the 5 sense are tailored to immerse you even further, along with players' backstories never sitting to collect dust. I work to keep a safe and comfy space at my table and like to take feedback at the end of each session to further improve and ensure each session is as good as the first.

Creating your character
Character creation will be done before the session. I will always try to help if anyone needs it. Standard Array, Point Buy, or rolling 4d6 are available to you to make your character, and then you'll just put them into Alchemy

What Ben Silva brings to the table
As a GM, I will be doing character voices, providing deep, immersive narration to immerse the party better, and providing ambient music when we play. I also tend to embrace the rule of cool! You wanna try and triple backflip off a wall to land a shot from behind on a troll? Go for it!
