About the adventure

WHAT THIS IS This is a dungeon crawl through the haunted castle of Ravenloft. You seek to destroy the vampire Strahd. We use the Shadowdark RPG ruleset and the guidelines provided by Sly Flourish for a one-night session (4-5 hrs.) WHAT THIS IS NOT This is NOT the mega-adventure C̵u̵r̵s̶e̴ ̵o̴f̵ ̴S̸t̷r̸a̶h̶d̵. This is NOT 5th edition D̸u̴n̵g̴e̵o̵n̴s̶ ̴&̵ ̸D̶r̵a̶g̷o̶n̴s̵. 🤔This game is for you if you are 18 or older and want to learn how to play Shadowdark RPG. Being a fan of gothic fiction is a plus, but not a necessity. 🏰You will explore the dilapidated Castle Ravenloft, and search for the tools that will eventually (hopefully) help you destroy the vampire Strahd Von Zarovich. ❤️‍🩹I publicly roll dice out in the open for the sake of fairness and tension, and so you don't think I am fudging the dice in your favor, or mine. I value the momentum of the game, carrying on, and moving forward rather than pedantic precision. I distribute pictures of non-player characters when they are available. I use regional and battle maps to better visualize positioning for exploration and combat.
