About the adventure
'Adventures of Chult' is Tomb of Annihilation reimagined; an adventure set in the wonderful and ancient land of Chult with its unique spirits, gods, monsters, factions and the foul darkness growing at the very heart of this jungle! You and your party-members will arrive knowing little about Chult beyond its reputation. From there, you'll explore Port Nyanzaru and the jungle while trying to survive. As you'll grow stronger, you'll find magic and treasures to help you out on your quests while the acclaim and fame you garner lead to options. All that an adventure wants and needs... ...but there's something feeding and growing in Chult. Something that not only threatens you or Chult, but every living thing in the world. As you level up, you'll learn of this rot and the history of Chult until you and the party finally descent into the Tomb of Annihilation to rid Chult of it once and for all! - A sandbox adventure with the freedom to choose what to explore and when! - A campaign starting at level 3 all the way to level 15. - Backstory driven stories connected to the campaign. - Custom-made handouts, maps and artwork. - An experienced DM running you through character creation in a 'session zero' and a session one that are both free of charge. - Open to all kinds of players, from completely beginners to veterans. - NO AI.

About me
Hello! My name is Spencer and I've been GM-ing for about 9 years now and have hosted tons of campaigns for complete beginners to veterans! I've always been interested and fascinated by stories, whether it is music, movies, books, dance, games, you name it! That passion is something I have carefully honed and refined into my GM-ing and can't wait to share that passion with you! The more creative, the better. I love it when players have a burning desire to create something strange, something creative and something uniquely them and to put that into a tailor-made story we all can enjoy. As a musician by trade, I know the importance of setting the scene and I try to use all yours senses and all the tools at my disposal to create an experience that sucks you in!

Creating your character
We'll use session zero to create characters together. We'll also talk about expectations, going over the content warnings, safety tools and party composition! We'll be using 2024 rules with standard (27) point buy for stats. If you have no idea for a character or backstory yet, that's okay! We'll create one together. If you do have one, all the better and I'll be happy to make it fit in the campaign.
So far no information yet! Will update this as soon as information is available.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please make sure you have a Discord account. A working microphone and headset are required. We'll be using Owlbear Rodeo as VTT. You don't need an account to use it. Character Sheets will be filled out on paper or a form fillable PDF.
What Spencer brings to the table
I love trying to make sessions as immersive as possible through the use of music, ambience, sound-bites and voice acting. When it comes to combat I like to keep it interested and dynamic: this could be that maps change up the flow of combat, or certain objectives make it a game of brains, not pure brawn. I use the Rule of Cool if a moment allows it. Besides that, I'm knowledgable about the rules as written and try to keep the games fair and fun for everyone.
Homebrew rules
I keep most campaigns rules as written besides the Rule of Cool. I'm not against homebrew rules and am open to discussing changes.

How Spencer creates a safe table
We'll make characters together during Session 0. In this session, I'll go over what you can expect of me as a DM, the campaign, the setting and the safety features and how I'm planning on implementing them. rules for Breaks, Lines and Veils, Open Door and X, N and O cards will be discussed.
