About the adventure

The war has begun. Kholinar has fallen. A new type of Desolation has arrived, and with it everything you knew has changed. The coalition prepares for the large scale conflict that will soon arise. And yet, life goes on. The forces of honor, life, and hatred can be found in the small things, just as often as in the big. Many people have lived out of the spotlight during these tense months, and some have proven their potential and heroism both to themselves, to the world and even to the elusive spren. Will you be one of them? - Tell your own story, immersing yourself deeply into the world of Roshar - Help influence the history of the world, taking part on the stories of the mighty Coalition, the Radiants and the looming threat of Odium - Grow as a hero and a person, unlocking new powers much like the protagonists of the Stormlight Archive - Roleplay in a safe and welcoming environment. The COsmere is open to everyone! This campaign will have heavy spoilers of Oathbringer, starting right after Jasnah's crowning at the towns near Kholinar. As the story progresses, eventually some spoilers from later books might come up. But your characters might influence the world in their own ways, potentially diverting from official canon. This is your time to be on the spotlight! Of course, this campaign is heavily influenced by Sanderson's style. You can expect high fantasy, character development and political intrigue all around. I'm not him and won't pretend to be, but if you liked the books we probably have similar styles!

About me

Hello there! Not Obi-wan, but Leods, your humble narrator (if you want me to be). I am cis, bisexual, and fully respectful of all identities. I am a 21 year old argentinian guy, about as nerd and geek as you can get and lover of basically every type of fantasy (and ~70% of sci-fi). I have years of experience as a DM, both for PbP and synchronous campaigns. I love writing, reading, playing video games and sometimes playing some music. But most importantly, I love game design and ttrpgs!so I genuinely believe I can be a good DM for you

Character creation

Creating your character

Characters will begin at level 1 as either a human, a recently awakened singer that isn't aligned with Odium or a listener. We will follow all of the official handbook's guidelines.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players will need a discord account and a roll20 free account, so i can share the book and the maps with them. We will use discord to run the game itself.

What Leods brings to the table

For this game, I will provide: - Access to the Cosmere RPG handbook, shared through Roll20 and Demiplane - A faithful and immersive recreation of Roshar to the best of my abilities, with engaging NPCs and character development - Guidance and help to create and develop your own character - Daily (and usually more often) posts to keep the game going - Custom made maps just for this adventure with Inkarnate - A safe and welcoming environment for everyone, with no bigotry allowed

Homebrew rules

For now, we will follow the rules as written to test the system. If any issues come up, we will talk about potential fixes or modifications as a group

Safety

How Leods creates a safe table

I will personally ask each player about their consent list, lines and veils and anything they want to bring up during the first week/session 0. After that, the players are always allowed to take breaks without judgement, and text me about anything that might be bothering them or they might want to see changed. X, N and O can be handled as reactions to messages, or texted to me privately. Bleed will be handled outside the game, with private conversations to see if some changes are needed to ensure everyone can still feel comfortable. Debriefing and proper warnings will be given before and after intense scenes, as necessary Roshar's worldbuilding handles plenty of touchy and complex subjects, such as slavery and racism. As such, we will have open off-table conversations to ensure everyone is respectful, clear with their expectations and always comfortable with the portrayals of the world
