About the adventure

Step into the cozy world of the Moonlit Teahouse ~ Our story begins among friends on a warm Autumn afternoon, but takes us to an enchanted world filled with a playful mischievous magic, sweet forest animals, and the highly anticipated Moonlight Tea Party ~ ✨ The Inspiration Taking inspiration from the playful sprites and whimsical worlds of Studio Ghibli, I hand-crafted this cozy mini TTRPG (90 minutes) as an invitation to those who love calm spaces, careful storytelling, and roleplaying. In this no-combat game, my hope is for everyone to simply enjoy spending their time among creatives and appreciate the enchanting world I've created in the Great Maple Forest. 🌿 Game Preparation This game focuses entirely on Theater of the Mind and is based on vivid sensory descriptions and collaborative storytelling. As such, there is no character prep or combat. Simply grab your favorite dice set, brew a warm cup of your favorite tea, review my custom Traveler's Guide, and come along for the journey! I can't wait to share this tale with you ~

About me

Welcome to the cozy realm of Fern's Fables ~ My love of writing short whimsical stories began when I was little, but blossomed into GMing back in 2023. Since my very first Zelda-inspired homebrew, I've honed in on my skills in crafting & running various TTRPGs in the realms of Cottagecore, Occult Mysteries, Fantasy Adventures, and Dark Academia-inspired Fantasy. Outside of writing & TTRPGs, I spend a LOT of time browsing bookshops to feed my insatiable love of reading and humming vgm to the flowers in my little garden ♡ If you'd like a cozy look behind the screen at my hand-crafted artwort or creative workspace, come say hello on my official reddit: reddit.com/user/FernsFables 🍂✨

Creating your character

This cozy mini TTRPG doesn't have a true character creation. On the Traveler's Guide you'll receive upon signing up to play there is a section to help you pick your "Dream Form" and "Trade", but no backstory is required.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

To ensure our journey through the Great Maple Forest runs smoothly, travelers just need to review my 1 page Traveler's Guide, join the Discord server for voice chat, have a clear microphone ready, and have a few dice on hand. Everything else will be reviewed prior to the game.

What Fern's Fables brings to the table

As this is a mini TTRPG, the story focuses a lot on sensory storytelling. The rules are minimal, the vibe is cozy, the story is Theater of the Mind, and the kettle is bubbling ~
