About the adventure
✨This is a Play-by-Post (PbP) game. That means it’s text based. It’s also asynchronous and will be slower than a live game is. ✨I as the GM will post 1-3 posts a day depending on player engagement. ✨ Players should be able to commit to posting once a day to keep the story moving and engagement up☺️ You and your fellow Thursday Children must band together to track down and disperse the many things that lurk in the dark. Each season has its own mystery and malevolent creature. You need to use your wits and supernatural abilities to defend humanity against them. We will go back in time to 1850s Scandinavia. But not our Scandinavia. This is a place where the Myths are real, and the old ways clash with humanity's desire for expansion and the Industrial Revolution. The cities might be beacons of light and enlightenment, but out there, in the countryside and the dark forests, the people know. They know what's out there, and they know to fear it. 🎃 This is a HORROR game, and unpleasant themes will come up.

About me
Hello, I am Ravna! I am a queer woman from Norway and I use she/her pronouns. I have played TTRPGs for over 2 years now, and I have GM'ed almost as long. I love the collaborative nature of these kinds of games, and it is important to me that everyone around the table is having fun<3 I run Dungeons & Dragons 5.5e and Vaesen, and you will always meet at least one fey creature in my campaigns. They will be both whimsical and horrible. I love to worldbuild, and think it's super fun when I get to do that together with my players. You wanna build your own hometown, go for it. Does your elf clan have a weird custom? Perfect. You think orcs should be nomads living in yurts and herding axebeaks? Amazing. Give me your ideas. I do run official campaigns in the Forgotten Realms, but if your group would want me to drop the campaign into a homebuilt setting, I am all for it. Vaesen is a newer system for me, but I like to focus on the mystery and the horror element of the vaesen. As a Norwegian, I love Scandinavian folklore, and this game lets me be a nerd while telling good, spooky stories.

Creating your character
We will be using the core archetypes as well as the additional ones found in the Mythic Britain & Ireland book. We will be using Google Sheets for character sheets, and we will discuss character creation on Discord.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
This is a Play-by-Post game, and we play via Discord. So you need a Discord account. Apart from that you just need access to internet, and a few minutes each day to post at least one reply.
