About the adventure
You are part of a ship crew representing a well-known Pact Worlds faction (to be decided amongst the party) investigating a strange signal coming from an asteroid field. Catching the attention of a militaristic undead faction, you must unravel this mystery and stay one step ahead of the Corpse Fleet before they seize the glory -and you- for themselves. This adventure will take you dusty planets devoid of life, bizarre holovid shenanigans, and have you go toe-to-toe(or other analogous appendage) with a gallery of ghoulish foes. Designed for levels 1-5, this is the first published Starfinder 2e Adventure. It is nearly perfectly compatible with Pathfinder 2e, so if you are comfortable there, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. If you are new to either system, I will happily walk you thru it all. I've ran it once before, and will be making some minor tweaks here and there. There will be a player guide accessible. As it is a common question, no, there will not be *tactical* starship combat. Currently Starfinder 2e operates with a cinematic starship combat style which I've had a lot of good fun with. Tactical starship combat is freshly rolled out in the new Tech Core book but for now we will keep things quick and light and heroic as heck.

About me
I've been playing and GM-ing ttrpgs since 2017, my primary experience being Pathfinder 1E/2E and Starfinder 1E/2E. Their setting is my absolute favorite to play around in, and I've guided dozens of people on their first forays around Golarion, so I am extremely compassionate and patient with learning rules, and am extremely inclusive in my gaming groups. There will absolutely be session 0's and safety tools discussed, and bigotry has no place at my tables. I play using the Foundry VTT and can match up on Discord for further conversations. Generally speaking, I use the established lore as a framework and build out in order to accomodate what my players gravitate towards. That way if folks want to do some homework on their own to find inspiration, certain cites like the Archives of Nethys and various wikis are at the ready to fill their minds and it's not just me rambling about excitedly(there is a time and place for that too). For a few years I was the GM of a few tabletop actual play podcasts and streams, and if I may say so, I feel like I provide a solid atmosphere for the fun and dramatic. Like to think of myself as quite the showperson. Happy to hype up or lower the energy as befits the group/situation, of course. I'm no great voice actor, but I do try to match characterization w/ at least some character/actor elsewhere to make a stronger connection with the world and the NPCs that occupy them.

Creating your character
Directions to Archives of Nethys will be given where players can peruse the options, but a free session zero will take place where folks can hammer things out as a group. Starting at level 1, I'm allowing the Free Archetype option. Any ancestry, any Paizo published classes. Want to bring a PF2e character into the future? We can figure that out too. If the players have ways of making them on Pathbuilder and elsewhere, and I can import them to Foundry that works fine with me.
You will be a ship crew taking a job from your shared employer/sponsor(TBD by the party). A collection of diverse skills will be encouraged, I just beg at least one person take some skill training in Computers.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
They will need to join a Discord server and can just use my FoundryVTT link to join the sessions. The server is for ease of use in voice chat as well as sharing text/memes during sessions. Take a look at the Starfinder 2e Archives of Nethys site for class and ancestry options.
What Donald brings to the table
I have a few select voices for certain NPCs, but don't feel pressure to come at this like a performance. I can provide limited ambient music if desired, but I'm no DJ. I will encourage folks to interject what THEY think a scene sounds like at times as well. We can all paint the picture of the scene together in that regard. I try to go about halfway with the intensity in combat. I don't love gory details, but cool moments, crit fails and succeses should be honored. I lean more towards Rules as Intended personally, where some wiggle room for cool is very welcome and Rules as Written is largely so we don't go TOO far out of whack. Reminder, we are playing a fantasy game set in space. It's only as serious as we make it. I'm not the greatest with horror so don't expect gratuitious violence. You are heroes, or at least would-be heroes.
Homebrew rules
Open to discussing homebrew options, don't have a bunch at the moment. That said, I do have access to some neat third party gadgets and gizmos from other Starfinder content creators.

How Donald creates a safe table
We will go over lines and veils in the session 0, as well as a discussion about potential triggers this adventure contains. There will be a Safety Tools module in Foundry in place.
