About the adventure
This campaign is aimed towards new players and cultivating a safe place for people to enjoy a game we all love! It will bring us from level 2 through level 11-12. Giants abound in the swords coast, gathering forces, building weapons long forgotten and raiding seaports of their cargo. this is a campaign with a bit of everything, mystery, intense combat, ancient temples and of course.. dragons.

Hello! I'm Aaron 🩷💜💙 (He/Him), I have been playing D&D for over 10 years and GMing for 5 years. Fantasy and adventure have been on my mind since the hobbit was read to me as a child, whether that is a dark damp dungeon crawl or a fiery dragon battle atop a floating mountain, I'm a big fan of the tropes but also unconventional adventure like cosmic horror. Creating your character
Welcome! Let's talk about the rules for building a heroic adventurer. 1. The way we will be rolling stats is in Roll20, copy this "&{template:default} {{name= Ability Scores}} {{[[4d6kh3]][[4d6kh3]][[4d6kh3]][[4d6kh3]][[4d6kh3]][[4d6kh3]]}}" without the quote marks into the roll20 chat and send. 2. If you are tempted to play a pure ranger know that the core spell “Hunters Mark” is not concentration in my games for a solo-class ranger. "the pugilist" as well as "Cthulhu by Torchlight" is banned. 3. Your characters will be level 2 and if you would like you may choose one magic item of common rarity for your character to start with. 4. Remember I am here to help you build characters and talk out ideas with so please, don't hesitate to reach out! There will be a session .5 (session 0 and an intro) for the first session. I'm also available for VC (Voice Calls) if you prefer to talk that way.

Preparing for the session
We will be using Discord for Voice chat, Roll20 for VTT and dndbeyond for character sheets. once you are in the discord ill help you get set up and ready to play!
What Aaron brings to the table
At the table I use rule of cool most of the time, we focus on narrative and RP over crunchy combat and "Minmaxing". i like to make custom magic items for all of you, will provide sourcebooks for character creation and have some music to set the mood!

How Aaron creates a safe table
During Session 0 we will go over the content of the campaign and discuss Safety Tools and content to be avoided. I will always have a safety deck in the bottom right-hand side of the VTT and you will be able to select which card you need to use and display it on the screen. In the event someone is made uncomfortable, we will pause/go on break while i discuss the issues with those who felt triggered/uncomfortable and find a way to ensure it does not happen again. In the event that someone is immediately feeling unsafe and need to step away from the table, for reasons at the table or IRL, they can with no judgment and no questions asked as i set the expectation that if it is an issue the table that players reach out to me so we can resolve the issue.
