About the adventure

"I can't lie to you about your chances but ... you have my sympathies" -Ash. It’s 2185, and the crew of the aging USCSS Fidanza has one last long haul ahead of them: deliver equipment to the remote mining colony Jeremiah VI, load its shipment of refined promethium, and bring the old ship back to Earth to be scrapped. Do the job quickly, and there might even be a permanent Weyland-Yutani contract waiting for you at the end of it. But Jeremiah VI has spent years almost completely cut off from the rest of humanity. Twenty-five workers live and work beneath its frozen surface, drilling deep into the moon for traces of valuable ore. Supply runs are rare. Life is cheap. And sometime before the Fidanza began its journey, the miners found something underground. Rapture Protocol is a cinematic sci-fi horror adventure for ALIEN RPG: Evolved Edition about ordinary working people trapped in an extraordinary nightmare. Expect exploration, investigation, paranoia, conflicting agendas, difficult decisions, and explosive moments of survival horror. Every member of the Fidanza's skeleton crew has their own relationships, motivations, and secrets—and once things begin falling apart, what's best for you may not be what's best for everyone else. This is a roleplay-focused, atmospheric game where choices matter and survival is never guaranteed. New players are welcome and pregenerated characters are provided, so no experience with ALIEN RPG is necessary. All you need to bring is a willingness to step aboard, meet your new crewmates, and find out what fresh horrors await you on Jeremiah VI.

About me

A little about me: To start, my name is Taylor, and mine is a common enough story these days. I am of the covid generation of Dungeon Masters; by which I mean that between being blessed and/or cursed with an overly active imagination and no social life to speak of, I quickly discovered that isolation (even the government mandated kind) ill-suited me, and after several admirable but ultimately doomed attempts to trick my friends into DMing I decided to turn in my character sheets for monster stat blocks and have a go at pretending that I wasn't going to actively try to kill all of my friend's, pain-stakingly min/maxed characters off each week in new, creative, and increasingly diabolical ways. Of course, I'm only joking about that last bit. Well... mostly joking. Anywho, almost despite myself, I ended up loving it, so much so that here I am, years later, trying to convince you wonderful strangers to let me share my passion with you. As for the specifics of my credentials, I was introduced to DnD in the military, of all places, over 10 years ago, and have been DMing since 2020. I have run several pre-written modules of varying lengths, some going for a year +, and one even going for 2 years and some change. I've run short-forms from One-Shot Wonders, as well as a few of my own creation. If you're looking for immersion, entertainment, challenge, and the space to play creatively, at a table that's both tolerant and inclusive, then I'm your DM.

Character creation

Creating your character

Pregenerated characters are provided! You’ll play a member of the USCSS Fidanza’s crew, with their own skills, personality, relationships, and private agenda. At the beginning of our first session, you’ll choose your character, and I’ll walk you through your character sheet and the rules you need to get started. Stats and equipment are already assigned, and ALIEN RPG doesn’t use character levels. You’ll have room to make the character your own through your choices and roleplay. No advance character creation, rulebook purchase, or previous experience is required. Please avoid reading Rapture Protocol or looking up its plot. Discovering what’s happening is part of the experience!

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Before our first session, please: Create a free Alchemy RPG account. There’s no cost for players. Follow the game invitation link I provide to join our Alchemy game. Have a working microphone, headphones, and a reliable internet connection. Find a quiet place to play and arrive a few minutes early so we can check everyone’s connection and audio. Pregenerated characters are provided, and I’ll teach the rules as we play. You don’t need to buy any books or prepare a character.

What Taylor brings to the table

I provide the adventure, pregenerated characters, and rules guidance throughout the game. We’ll play through Alchemy RPG, which is free for players. No books or previous ALIEN RPG experience are needed. Expect an atmospheric, roleplay-focused game with investigation, uneasy alliances, and sudden bursts of dangerous action. I’ll give you room to explore, talk with your crewmates, and make difficult decisions. Combat is a serious risk, and fighting won’t always be your best route to survival. Your character’s relationships and private agenda give you more to work with than simply staying alive. Those competing priorities can create tension within the crew, while we keep the experience collaborative and welcoming around the table. I’ll explain rules as they become relevant, and questions are always welcome.

Safety

How Taylor creates a safe table

ALIEN is a horror game, but player comfort comes first. Before we begin, we’ll discuss the expected content and establish **Lines and Veils**: subjects we leave out entirely and subjects that can exist in the story but stay off-screen. You can share boundaries privately, and you can update them at any time. During play, anyone can say or type **“pause”**, or message me privately, to stop a scene and ask for an adjustment. No explanation is required. We can skip content, rewind, or take a break. You’re also welcome to step away whenever you need to. Character agendas may create conflict within the crew, so we’ll discuss expectations for player-versus-player conflict before play. A secret agenda never overrides someone’s boundaries. We’ll finish each session with a brief check-in to decompress, discuss anything that felt uncomfortable, and identify any changes needed for next time.
