About the adventure

You and a group of like-minded adventurers have traveled to the village of Matango after receiving the most peculiar letter. Its author, the mysterious Fire Witch of Matango, requests your help with an urgent problem: while traveling home, she somehow lost an entire collection of rare potion ingredients. Unfortunately, these ingredients are now scattered across the island of Obojima. Recovering them will take you through enchanted forests, lively villages, ancient ruins, and other strange corners of the island. Along the way, you will encounter unusual spirits, eccentric locals, dangerous creatures, and mysteries that may be far more complicated than the witch’s letter suggested. Your journey will be a whimsical adventure filled with exploration, roleplay, humor, and exciting encounters. Work together, make new friends, overcome unexpected obstacles, and discover the wonders hiding throughout Obojima. Once the party returns with every ingredient, the Fire Witch promises to grant a “GrEaT” reward. She seems trustworthy enough, right?

About me

I am a DM or GM, depending on the game, who loves eldritch horror, science fiction, and fantasy. I first started running games in 10th grade at age 15, when I became the leader of my high school’s TTRPG club. In college, I helped start and run a similar club as its primary GM. Even before that, I had been creating stories throughout my life, long before I had the opportunity to play with others who shared my interests. I lived in a middle-of-nowhere town where no one seemed interested in tabletop role-playing games. Now, I run seven games a week, using every tool in my repertoire to create the best experience possible and welcome new faces into the hobby. I can run many systems, including Dungeons & Dragons, Magpie Games systems, World of Darkness systems, Call of Cthulhu, Lancer, and more niche systems such as Mercenary Merlin’s and N5E. Given three days to prepare, I am comfortable learning nearly any system. I take pride in my craft, including maps, custom items, character voices, and attentive player care. I use safety tools, clear communication, and understanding to ensure everyone has a positive experience.

Character creation

Creating your character

Character creation will happen before you start messaging. I will be available during office hours to help with questions. Stats will be 4d6, drop the lowest, meaning you roll 4 6-sided dice and drop the lowest. Starting level will be 3 to allow for subclasses. Character creation will be in Foundry, which will be open during set times each day. Allowed books will be all core books and extras from Obojima. They will be available in Foundry through my account.

What Phantom3422 brings to the table

What to expect in the game: ambient music, fully interactive maps, voice-recorded messages, art, simple character creation, combat through Foundry, interactive puzzles, the ability to have a character move through different campaigns, and, if wanted by all parties, the ability to write a book to look back on. I use the rule of cool; as long as it benefits the players. I run heroic games, which means the party is heroic and can push through most adversity with teamwork and skill, as well as the political side with webs of deals, lies, and bribes. I am also very easy to contact through multiple methods. My running style fits the party that's playing.
