Creating your character
Characters should be created before the one-shot, so we can start the session ready to play. All characters begin at level 4. For ability scores, use the standard array 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8, then apply any bonuses provided by your chosen race. You may use options from the Player’s Handbook and Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything when creating your character. Please have your character sheet completed and ready before the session begins. You are free to create any character concept you like, as long as it fits a classic fantasy adventure and the available sourcebooks.

What Nymos brings to the table
I’ll provide a cinematic and immersive GM experience, with a strong focus on atmosphere, memorable encounters, and bringing the story to life. I’ll use descriptions and character voices to make the world and its NPCs feel alive. Combat will be engaging and straightforward, with enough tactical choices to make encounters meaningful without becoming overly complicated. I generally embrace the Rule of Cool when a creative idea makes a scene more exciting and fun for everyone. Since this is a short one-shot, I’ll help keep the game focused while making sure everyone has opportunities to contribute. New players are welcome, and I’ll explain rules or mechanics whenever needed rather than expecting everyone to know them beforehand.

How Nymos creates a safe table
Before the one-shot begins, we’ll have a short Session 0 to introduce the adventure, discuss expectations, and make sure everyone is comfortable with the themes and tone of the game. During the game, players can pause or speak up at any time if something makes them uncomfortable. We’ll keep communication open and respectful, and after the session there will be a brief check-in to make sure everyone is okay with how the game went.
