About the adventure
Towns and cities across the Mortal Realm have had defences in place to protect themselves from the violence of the beasts they share their land with. Between these defences and the great work of the Guild of Fang and Scale, an organisation of monster hunters with presence across the Realm, this has allowed every day citizens to go about their lives devoid of fear - until now. In Andaluria, the local guild receives a disturbing missive from their brethren on the coast, bringing warning of what seems to be an evolution of the monsters in their area. When the council of village of Elmore send word that their defences were breached, resulting in the death of their beloved Mayor, you and your fellow hunters are called to action. You will travel across the Mortal Realm, investigating these developments, slaying monsters and working with the other chapters of the guild as well as the civilians in the towns and cities you enter to help them prepare for whatever might come next in this adventure taking the best parts from both the Beast Feast and Dark Heart of Andaluria campaign frames.

About me
Hi! I'm Loz, your friendly neighbourhood dice goblin and DM. I love TTRPGs, storytelling and playing and DMing alongside folks at all experience levels. I'm based in Australia and am excited to help gamers down under navigate the world of D&D. Whether you're looking for someone to DM a full, long-running campaign or a one-shot to get a taste of the game or a special event, I'm your person. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I also understand the importance of representation and safety in a space like a D&D game. I am committed to being a DM who puts those things front and center in their campaigns.

Creating your character
We will complete character creation in three parts: 1. During an initial chat with me when you first join the campaign. This will happen before session 0, and we can use the time to talk through any initial ideas that you have for your character and the way you want to build them. 2. During session 0, where each member of the party will bring their character in progress, and as we discuss the type of campaign and type of party we want to run, we can finalise your builds in synergy with the rest of the party. 3. Via discord between session 0 and session 1 if there are any loose ends or open questions that we need to tie up.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We will run our adventure using the following platforms, so please make sure you have accounts for them: - Discord (there will be a campaign-specific server that I will invite you to that we will use for voice and video, as well as any chats in between sessions). - Roll20 (gameplay/maps will occur in this platform, once you have joined the campaign here on Start Playing Games I will also invite you to the campaign on Roll20). - Demiplane (Demiplane is the official online play platform for Daggerheart, character creation will occur here)
What Loz - Tutors And Tabletops brings to the table
If you trust me to tell this story alongside you, I will repay that trust by creating a vivid, engaging world, and telling that story with energy and enthusiasm every table session. I create fun NPCs to interact with, face-paced action to make everyone feel like a hero, and compelling plots to keep you coming back because you simply have to help me tell the story of what happens next. I also run a safe, judgement- and discrimination-free table, both in terms of role playing and what happens above the table between all of us. TTRPGs are for everyone, unless you are an intolerant or bullying piece of shit. If that's the case, you can miss this one, and if you turn out to be one as we adventure together I will yeet you without hesitation.
Homebrew rules
In full transparency, whilst I have plenty of TTRPG experience I'm relatively new to GMing Daggerheart so I don't have a lot of my own homebrew rules or content in my bag of tricks, BUT! As a GM generally speaking I love anything that will let us as a group play the game we want. I am always open to hearing pitches and suggestions from the table, and I will always favour the rule of cool. I have only two simple requirements for implementing any homebrew rules or other non-official materials: - They are compatible with our game system (in this case, Daggerheart) - The table as a group agrees to adopt them

How Loz - Tutors And Tabletops creates a safe table
Player safety is incredibly important to me. If my players aren't comfortable and having a good time, there's no way that our time together will be as fun and exciting as it could be - really losing yourself in the role play and focusing on the game can't happen until everyone feels safe. To that end, I utilise several tools during both the formation of our campaign and party, and ongoing throughout our time together: - During our initial conversation about character creation, we can also discuss any content/themes/situations that you want us to leave out of the campaign. - During session 0, I also cover player safety, players are able to voice anything during this session if they feel comfortable too. - We will also utilise a Lines and Veils survey that I will send individually to each player before the first session.
