About the adventure
This game is for anyone with a love of fantasy, and a desire to bring amazing stories to life together at the table. Prior experience with Dungeons and Dragons is not a requirement, I have experience with teaching people to play the game, and am more than happy to help. I ask that any experienced players joining be willing to keep in mind that new players often need a little guidance, but I will ensure that everyone at the table gets the same amount of attention. The player characters, along with a host of interesting and colourful NPCs will be attending Strixhaven, the greatest magical university in all the planes. Students travel from the far reaches of the multiverse for the chance to immerse themselves in the history and wonder that fills it's halls. You can expect to make friends and rivals, attend classes and social events, play magical sports and drinking games, and solve ancient riddles. This campaign will feature roleplay heavily, and backstory assistance will be provided to allow every player to better engage with the world and weave your stories into the larger narrative.

About me
Hi, my name is Alek. I am in my mid-20's and live in Quebec with my fiancee and our many animals. I have a lifelong passion for music, fantasy, and roleplaying games. I started off playing loose fantasy roleplaying games with my siblings as a very young child, where we would live out stories inspired by our favourite fantasy heroes. I started playing D&D weekly in high school, and have been a player and dungeon master in a few different groups since. Currently, I run several weekly games online and in person. Running games excites me because it allows me to relive the feeling that those wondrous (imaginary) adventures of my youth inspired in me. I hope that I can share my joy with you!

Creating your character
Character creation will be done at session zero, with stats rolled at the table. You can either roll for stats or take point buy. I reserve the right to modify stat point totals to maintain balance, but I will always balance upwards rather than nerf high rolls. We will be starting at 1st level with a free "half-feat". More info on this at session zero. Character creation will be managed through D&Dbeyond
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a webcam and microphone, as well as a computer that can handle streaming video through discord. The only software you will need is discord, the game will be run through FoundryVTT. Players will not need any physical dice or sheets. Characters will be made together at the table, ensuring links between PCs.
What Alek brings to the table
I will bring access to all character options on DnDbeyond, as well as game hosting on FoundryVTT. I will also make heroforge tokens for anyone who wants one

How Alek creates a safe table
Lines and Veils, as well as X/N/O cards are an important tool that will be discussed at session zero. We will also be discussing the content of the campaign more thoroughly. The campaign is written to include themes of horror that may be shocking to some, I have done my best to tag content warnings, but some things may have been missed. I will modify the campaign as necessary to the best of my ability to ensure the fun and safety of all my players.
