About the adventure
Down and out? I think not, since when has it ever been an adventurer's spirit to quit? Never! So it is up to you to take charge. The River Village Adventures Guild needs a new Guild Master, and you, my friend, have what it takes; I know it. Bring the guild back from the brink of ruin and raise its standing to be one of the best adventure guilds this side of the continent. Work on restoring the guild little by little. Recruit adventurers, send them out to complete quests while you're busy doing guild things. When they come back, they could have loot, experience, and coins for a job well done. Utilize these to further the guild's objective of improving and expanding the guild, hiring more adventurers, and paying your dues. Above table talk: Hello and thank you for taking a look at my game listing. This type of game is more or less a modified play-by-post type of game. Utilizing in real life 24 hour cycles. You will check in daily and manage a few guild master tasks such as: paying bills, recruiting adventurers, assigning adventurers to certain quests, leveling up, and sculpting adventures in your image, haha, upgrading and trading items with daily/weekly NPCs. Once all those tasks are finished, your work here is done. I will then hop on and simulate some dice rolls on how successful or unsuccessful your adventures are. Then distribute the rewards as necessary. Every person that signs up will get a one-hour voice chat to go over finer details and get the insight needed to make the best-informed decisions. Such as what skills help with what quests, at what point an adventure should turn back before potentially losing their life, and so on. This game mode is a consistent work in progress. The price you see is my early bird pricing while I continue to work out the issues, fine-polish, and add boatloads of new features. I appreciate any feedback. Mechanics: Real-time cycles (24h cycles) Managing Adventures: Hiring. Leveling them up. Quest rolling / automated combat Equipping gear and consumables. Assigning quests. Pay your dues and upgrade your guild: Invest in businesses to get better quality items. Have them use gathered material to make you items. Upgrade your guild to get better quests and rewards. With the right funds, build the guild how you envision it. Planned Expansions: Trades day Players can choose to negotiate in trades with other guild masters for items and adventurers. B Rank Dungeons Able to schedule a sit-down where you run a party through a small dungeon floor. C Rank Horde Defense Each person chooses an adventurer 3-5 people meet up and survive a wave-based game mode. A Rank Labyrinths 4 people will get together, each bringing a team of 4-5, and try to tackle a dungeon but vastly upscaled. Other ideas are based on community feedback.

About me
Hello everyone! My name is Gage, and I come from nine years of being a part of the world of TTRPGS. Admittedly, most of that has been with D&D 5e. I spent three years as a full-time professional DM, both on startplaying and other areas. I have a load of experience to share and help the games run smoothly. I love a good story and am always looking for ways to improve my craft. While homebrew worlds and stories are my bread and butter, so to speak, I am always up for new and inviting challenges. I always prioritize my players and their characters for story purposes and have never shied away from a little rule of cool when appropriate.

Creating your character
Players can create their first three level-one adventurers on dndbeyond. The campaign link will be sent after you join. Each character will get starting equipment and a point buy/standard array for stat distribution. No currency will be left on the character sheets once they are transferred over to ForgeVTT; only equipment.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Have an account with discord (our voice and text chat hub), Dndbeyond (used for character creation), and ForgeVTT (where the primary game is hosted). All joinable links will be sent at the time of joining the campaign.
What Gage brings to the table
I try to keep to the rules to give everyone a fair chance in game; however, I am not opposed to the occasional rule of cool and Let's Ride mindsets. That being said, this is an open-concept, early-access type of game, so I am always open to ideas and differing opinions on how things should go.
Homebrew rules
The list is long and the time is short. If you really want to know them jump into the campaign and I will give you the verbal speal on how it all works and what to do moving forward 😅😁

Safety
How Gage creates a safe table
During session zero, I ask players to send me a list of things that they might find difficult to deal with, and I'll make adjustments accordingly. Afterward, I let players know about all the different safety checks I do to keep the game fun and friendly. We will take breaks after big moments and utilize aftercare/debriefing. I also let them know that should they need a brief break from the campaign, then I will hold their spot for a while until they know if they want to return.
