About the adventure
Before the game starts, long before anyone is ever charged, we will get together and make this campaign setting world the main villain or villains. Together you can do this much or as little as you want; you will be free to give vague concepts that I will take and harness and shape into the story or provide pages of detail on any subject of the setting you like, and I will work with you and bounce ideas off the wall with you to make it fit in. πΊοΈMapπΊοΈ I will use digital map-making software to create a setting map, and we will together create ideas and names for places. We will make up histories and cultures as we see fit. Once again, you will do as much or as little as you want, and I will fill in all of the gaps and make the rest of the world πͺΆStoryπͺΆ The story, the main plot of the game, will be a weaving of all of the different player characters' stories. Your backstory will create the backbone of our game's campaign. Unlike modules, which are stories that are built for any character to be able to drop into. This is going to be a story about you. πToneπ Me, you, and the other players will discuss what kind of tone and things you want to be appropriate for our game and our settingβhow serious, how silly, how light, or how dark we want to beβand we will find an understanding to ensure that we all will have creative liberty; we will not clash with one another. βοΈHomeBrewβοΈ I'll be very open and flexible about the idea of implementing home rules, but I will not be wildly throwing off the balance of the game with the random implementation of just things off of The Homebrew Wiki. I will keep the game fair and balanced with a desire to make changes when necessary and be able to uphold fun creativity βΌοΈIMPORTANTβΌοΈ I will not tolerate intolerant, bigoted, racist, sexist, homophobic, etc., players being mean and cruel to others, be it at the table or off the table. They will get you removed from this game, and I promise if one of the players is harassing you and I don't notice, please tell me in private, and we will get it taken care of one way or another.

About me
I have been GMing for over 15 years, sometimes with custom-made names, often with one of the game systems listed on my profile. I love a game where the natural consequences of a player's actions bounce off the natural actions and reactions of the NPCs and mix with some random chance of the dice to twist and turn the story in ways neither the players nor the GM could have seen coming! I love creating worlds for the players that feel living and changing, that have NPCs that act realistically and with agency so it never feels like the player is in a cardboard castle talking to King Quest Giver I love having and trusting a caring gaming group that have respect for each other's needs and boundaries. I will not tolerate intolerance of any race, creed, gender, sexuality, disability, faith (or lack thereof), nationality, or anything else like that!

Creating your character
During Session 0, we will all decide what level would be best for everyone. Then we will decide together if the PC backstories should be tied together and, if so, how much. Then I shall help each player. Build their character from both a game rules standpoint and a lore/story one as well. I will be showing them how if they need that kind of help and giving advice, but they will have the final say on what is right for their character. After all the characters are built, I shall run a little background session. A little game session for the player to allow them to explore their backstory and take their character for a "test drive." AT LAST, once all of that is done, we shall be ready for session 1
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need these things. 1: Discord and a Working Mic 2: Roll20 (it's the website I use to run the game on) Understand at least the basic idea of it. 3. Imagination!
What DireDM brings to the table
I provide music, battle maps, and custom magic items. I'm very open to customizing the game for my players if there is a rule in the game all the players don't like. I'm more than happy to talk about changing it. Outside of session time.
Homebrew rules
I have a number of small rules, but they are optional, and we will decide together what rules are best.

How DireDM creates a safe table
Before a player even chooses to join a game, I will ask them to talk to me on Discord about their needs, wants, and such. Then, once they have joined, we will have a session where players are asked to either openly share if there is any kind of content they don't want to see in the game, or if they don't wish to share, they can PM me about an issue, and I will make a rule about it at the table without saying who, if anyone asks. AND if something happens during a game that is an issue for someone, they are free to either pause the game to talk about it, PM me about it, or choose to talk to me later. Or if they just need to leave at once without saying a word, I will not hold it against them.
