About the adventure

People are murdered in a small town and their bodies are found drained of blood, which is... a problem. You are vampires and for millennia, your kind has survived and thrived scheming from the safety of the shadows. Now, these murders threaten to expose your existence. Find the killer(s) before the mortals start asking questions. In Vampire: The Masquerade, you play immortal creatures of the night: vampires. You are strong, fast, and capable of supernatural feats. But immortality comes at a cost. A hunger for Blood now rules your existence. It is always with you, and the Beast within is always starving. It wants to feed, dominate, and survive at any cost. The longer you exist, the harder it becomes to hold on to the person you once were. Over a short campaign, you'll learn Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition and get an introduction to the World of Darkness.

About me

💫 Welcome travelers! I'm Sam (he/him) Horror Aficionado | Storyteller | Filmmaker I joined SPG as a professional GM in late 2025. 🎲 The games I run are centered around you and your character's story. Drawing on my background as a filmmaker, I put a lot of care into atmosphere, using music, sound effects, and carefully curated visual backdrops to enhance the stories we shape together. My worlds are filled with characters who have their own morals and agendas, and they will react to what you do. Because your choices shape the story. 🕯️ You will enjoy my games if you like: • character-driven roleplay • atmospheric storytelling • dark fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and mystery • complex NPCs • emotional character arcs • active roleplay between players • challenging combat • beautifully illustrated maps & scenes 🌱 New to TTRPGs? You are very welcome. I explain rules as they come up, help you get comfortable with roleplay, and make sure you never have to know everything before you start. I have had a lot of good experiences introducing new players to the hobby, and the community around my games is welcoming, patient, and good at including newcomers. 🛡️🏳️‍🌈 I care about creating a safe, collaborative, and LGBTQIA+ friendly table. We treat each other with respect, communicate openly, and make sure everyone has the space and support to enjoy the game.

Character creation

Creating your character

Players will take their pick from four pre-generated characters, each with their own background, skillset and supernatural abilities. Think about what kind of person they were, before they were turned into immortal beings. - Charles Cruz, the whitehat hypocrite of clan Brujah - Juana Jones, the feral cat lady of clan Nosferatu - Paul Clunie, the deluded "protagonist" of clan Malkavian - Aileen Doss, the heartless muse of clan Toreador

The current party

Premade characters still available for players are: • Charles Cruz / Brujah • Aileen Doss / Toreador

What to expect

Preparing for the session

We will meet for our sessions on Discord, so please make sure you have a Discord account, a working microphone, and a stable internet connection. I highly recommend using headphones and, if possible, joining from a quiet environment, though I know we don’t always have that luxory.

What Sam brings to the table

You will receive access to my private Discord server, where your group will have its own dedicated space. We’ll use voice chat for sessions, with additional channels for out-of-character discussion, dice rolls, and handouts. I will send your character information and sheet privately through Discord. I use Kenku FM for music and ambient sound during sessions to help create atmosphere. It's a bot that will join our VC and you can adjust the volume yourself and even turn it off if you prefer. Because we are playing creatures driven by their hunger for blood, and therefore monsters in a very (un)real sense, I will make sure that we will explore that darkness and horror in a safe and consensual manner.

Safety

How Sam creates a safe table

Vampire deals with darker subject matter, so please read the campaign’s content warnings before joining up. Before play, we will establish Lines & Veils together. Lines are subjects that won’t appear in the game world as a whole; Veils may appear, but won’t be described in detail or focused on. During play, you can always message me or use an X or N Card if something makes you uncomfortable and we'll skip ahead. No explanation is needed. The Open Door is always in effect, so you can step away whenever you need to; just let me know that you are afk and once you’re back. I will also call for at least one break during the session. You can call for a break too! After the game, I like to check in, talk about the session, decompress, and gradually put some distance between ourselves and the characters and story that we’ve been inhabiting.
