About the adventure
J’ONN: I should be back in time for dinner. I love you too. WALLY: These are the end times. CLARK: A head start… you’re getting soft in your old age. BRUCE: Don’t you have a tall building to go leap? DIANA: And the adventure continues…. And so it does! A few years have passed. Some significant events have happened, like the Near-Apocalypse of ‘09, the war with the Sinestro Corps, the conflict with the Fatal Five, and the return of Lex Luthor. But the League carries on - now working primarily out of the Metro Tower, with the satellite Watchtower now serving as a communications/teleport hub. The Batman Beyond era is still a couple decades out. The original League carries on, though, with newer members like Miss Martian and Green Lanterns Jessica Cruz and Guy Gardner. Just imagine! Assembled in this great Watchtower are the world’s greatest heroes… created from the cosmic legends of the universe! Banded together as the Justice League, their mission is to fight injustice, right that which is wrong… to stamp out the forces of evil wherever and whenever they appear… and to serve all mankind! Join the ranks of the Justice League as the DC hero of your choice… or create a new hero of your own! The League, operating from the Metro Tower, guards Earth from threats internal and external… natural and unnatural… with a rotating cast of heroes in a West Marches-style storyline!

About me
I’m a lifelong tabletop RPG enthusiast and GM, with over thirty years’ experience. I got my start with the good old red box (BECMI) D&D, and it's all kinda snowballed from there. I’ve been running what amounts to the same Star Wars RPG campaign for much of that time, through numerous systems and/or iterations of systems. I’ve run and enjoyed many many other games - I love to learn a new system - and tend toward SF and superhero genres. I’m also a fan generally of comics and science fiction, an incorrigible reader, an aspiring writer, and a student of Zen. The table I’d want to run would be inclusive and welcoming, with a strong focus on collaboration and storytelling. I generally aim to create opportunities for heroes to shine in big cinematic moments, but also for roleplaying, emotional beats, and character development. A bit of humor will tend to creep in as well. At the end of the day, I take great enjoyment and fulfillment from helping my players have a great time. I like to put in the homework on worldbuilding, creating an immersive experience. At the end of the day, the Game is what matters, and everything I do as a GM is in service of that.

Creating your character
You can choose from existing DC heroes or create your own. If you choose the latter we can discuss at Session 0.
It’s the Justice League! Essentially every hero in the DC Animated Universe is a member. Even ones we may not have seen yet. It’s a West Marches kind of approach in that the Metro Tower is our home base and different mission teams might venture forth from session to session. Players might conceivably stay with a given character over a period of time (selected/claimed on a first-come, first-served basis), or jump around between different ones.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
We’ll be playing on Discord in a Theatre of the Mind milieu.
What Gregory Sheets brings to the table
Slam-bang rule of cool cinematic action, roleplay-heavy, fast-paced and freewheeling. Comedy, drama, action and more, aiming to recreate the tone of the iconic animated series. Character voices (sometimes poorly rendered) are a favorite of the GM.
Homebrew rules
No major homebrew at the outset, but such things could evolve organically from GM rulings and player input.

Safety
How Gregory Sheets creates a safe table
Basic expectations will be set up in a Session 0, with Lines and Veils and X-Cards as major safety measures. Stars and Wishes, breaks, and debriefing/aftercare will be encouraged. General content seeks to emulate the animated series/films. Little to no content that wouldn’t be seen on Cartoon Network 20+ years ago would be anticipated; PG-13 in general. Fantastic science fiction/comic book violence, non-graphic depictions of criminal activity.
