About the adventure

Phandelver and Below: The Shattered Obelisk is a full fantasy campaign of mystery, danger, exploration, and heroic choices. Your story begins in the frontier town of Phandalin, a rough but growing settlement built on old ruins and surrounded by wild lands, hidden caves, and forgotten secrets. What starts as a local adventure soon becomes something far greater as strange forces rise from the darkness below. This campaign is designed for 5 players and takes characters from Level 1 to Level 12, letting you experience the full journey from local adventurers to powerful heroes whose actions can shape the fate of the region. Phandalin is a living town that can grow alongside your party. The choices you make—who you help, who you oppose, what dangers you ignore—can have lasting consequences. This game welcomes both new and experienced players. If you are new to D&D, you only need a willingness to learn and play cooperatively. Rules guidance is always available. If you are experienced, expect room for creative problem solving, character-driven moments, and meaningful decisions.

About me

I have been a player of D&D since Second Edition and I have grown into the dungeon master roll in my older age. I enjoy other things as well such as hiking, video games and cooking but my passion lies with TTRPGs.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

For the best experience in my games, you’ll need the following: - A stable, high-speed internet connection - A good-quality microphone or headset - A Windows 10/11 PC or an up-to-date MacOS system (Mobile devices such as iOS or Android are not supported) - An updated Chrome browser (used to run the game) - A Discord account with the voice application installed

What Seth brings to the table

My game focuses on strong immersion and meaningful exploration, paired with fast-paced combat against a wide range of challenging and unsettling creatures. I use curated sound effects, music, character voices, detailed maps, and clear theater-of-the-mind descriptions to bring the world to life. Combat is supported by tools designed to keep things moving efficiently, so encounters stay engaging without slowing the session down. The dungeon itself is a living environment. It reacts to the players’ actions, and time is tracked as you explore. The threat of danger is constant, and nothing remains static for long. Careful resource management and smart decision-making will be essential as you push deeper into the darkness. I also make a strong effort to preserve player freedom. While the story may create a sense of urgency, I never force characters down a path they didn’t agree to beforehand. Your choices matter, and the direction of the game remains something we shape together.

How Seth creates a safe table

In Session 0, we’ll cover table rules to ensure everyone feels comfortable, safe, and respected. We’ll also discuss the themes and tone of the campaign so players know what to expect. This is a great time to ask questions about your character, the setting, or anything else before the game begins. I’m also very responsive on Discord if anything comes up outside of session time.
