About the adventure

In the Forgotten Realms, the year is 1491 DR, Dalereckoning. In the village of Austerberry, adventurers gather to confront an evil thought long defeated. What begins as a struggle to save a small community reveals a far greater threat: the Great Wheel is damaged, and cracks are spreading through the foundations of existence. Your journey will carry you across Faerûn and into the wondrous and terrifying planes beyond. Ancient secrets, impossible landscapes, and horrors lurking between realities await as you discover what wounded the cosmos, and what seeks to finish the work. Along the way, you will forge alliances, build bastions, and rally armies. The lives you save and the enemies you make will shape a final confrontation with an ultimate evil, a battle to repair reality before everything unravels. This is a campaign of high fantasy, grand stakes, cosmic adventure, and creeping horror. Expect serious dangers and lasting consequences, alongside eccentric companions, absurd predicaments, and moments of laughter in the face of the impossible. Even the fate of existence must begin somewhere. Yours begins in Austerberry.

What Jimjam brings to the table

PvP : None whatsoever UNLESS agreed upon and organized by the combating players ( Domination, suggestion or otherwise abilities and spells are obviously exceptions) This campaign has the expectation of lasting a long time, time investment on both player and DM should be high. Roleplay with a capital R! for myself. This is NOT an expectation of any/all players. Thinking caps! This campaign and its many adventures will be written with several mysteries, puzzles and traps so a paused moment for reflection is usually suggested. Goofy characters allowed BUT... understand if they detract from the fun of others or of the game itself a conversation will occur on how best to proceed. Battlemaps, Descriptions, Handouts oh MY! I am quite fond of all three and there will be plenty within this game, handouts of maps, sigils, NPC's (IF I cannot find a preferred Image I may resort to A.I. although a conversation on this point WILL occur). Battlemaps for combat and extensive descriptors for items, people and places.

Homebrew rules

The rules were made to aid not to hinder. Rule of Cool will be in play as well as a few homebrew rules of my choosing which are as follows. -- Healing Potion Action Economy -- Action: The healing potion is consumed and the character receives maximum healing possible. Bonus Action: The healing potion is consumed and the character rolls the equated dice for amount of healing received. -- Death, Dying and an Injury Table. -- Death is of course on the table, however outside of major battles or truly narrative focused moments I would prefer we not lose individuals or the entire party. So, the following changes will be made In "minor" combat upon hitting 0hp, unconscious and dying. You will become Stabilized and roll upon an injury table I have chosen. A death saving throw can be made each turn whose result only matters on a Natural 20 at which point you will regain consciousness at 1hp as per the regular rules. Regular healing rules apply in this situation. In "Major" battles (I.E. Narrative moments or Boss Battles) upon hitting 0hp unconscious and dying. You will begin making Death Saving Throws as per usual IN ADDITION to rolling on an injury table of my choosing. Additional House/Homebrew Rules may be used if a majority of the campaign agrees.
