About the adventure
“The Star Guardians are destined to protect the universe.” “But who will protect us?” For generations, Star Guardians have stood against the forces that threaten humanity, chosen by the stars and given incredible power. But the city has been without its Guardians for some time. Some fell in battle, some abandoned their posts, and others simply disappeared. A few even came back... changed. Now, a new generation has been chosen. You’ll face creatures born from fear and despair while balancing school, friendships, rivalries, and everything that comes with being a hero. This is a character-driven magical girl campaign using Fabula Ultima, with a mix of fun, drama, darker themes, and plenty of friendship. Form bonds with the people around you, uncover what happened to those who came before, and decide what being a Star Guardian actually means.

About me
My first experience with anything TTRPG-related was during my theater studies. Once that bug bit me, I haven't been able to shake it off since. For over eight years now, I've been running and playing in games nearly every week. The games I run tend to lean heavily into cozy aspects like community and relationships, and are generally roleplay-heavy. Even when the themes and genre turn out to be a bit grittier, I still try to keep the spotlight on the characters and how they interact with the setting.

Creating your character
All characters will start at Level 5, with 1 level in the homebrew Magical Girl class. You’ll choose one of the three provided stat arrays for your ability scores. Any and all classes from the official books are allowed, with the sole exception of Pilot, as it interacts in a particularly broken way with the Magical Girl class. If you want a mech riding magical girl, we'll have to tweak some stuff. You’ll also need to create an important NPC connected to your character, such as a family member, best friend, rival, lover, or someone else who plays an important role in their life. How everyone becomes a Star Guardian will be discussed and established during Session 0.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need an account on The Forge, as that's what I use to host my Foundry VTT server. Discord is also required for voice chat and general organization.
What Lupi brings to the table
I put a lot of emphasis on character-driven storytelling and making sure that the characters feel like the center of the story. Your relationships, personal struggles, and decisions will have an impact on the world around you. I use Foundry VTT to provide maps, assets, music, effects, and other tools to make the game feel more immersive. I also enjoy getting into character with NPCs and giving them distinct personalities, mannerisms, and voices. All of the content required for the game will also be provided.
Homebrew rules
We'll be using the optional rules for Quirks, Zero Powers, and Invoke to Fail. Additionally, to keep with the power of friendship theme, characters will get skills from deepening bonds with NPCs and each other. These will be tracked with a module in FoundryVTT.

How Lupi creates a safe table
Every game I run in Foundry VTT has the Safety Tools module installed, which provides quick and easy access to X, N, and O Cards that appear on screen. These are completely anonymous and will be honored 100% of the time. Before Session 0, we’ll also fill out a consent check and establish Lines and Veils. I’ll review these during Session 0 so we can formally establish everyone’s boundaries before the campaign begins. Content warnings may fluctuate slightly from those listed below depending on what we establish during Session 0. For example, Child Endangerment may come up if your characters are younger, but it should not be a significant concern if your characters are college-aged.
