About the adventure

Taken from the module's foreword: "Disclaimer: This adventure will make your players hate you — the kind of simmering hatred that eats away at their souls until all that remains are dark little spheres of annihilation where their hearts used to be. PS Don’t forget to tear up their character sheets." Something is draining the life out of the realm. Everything and everyone that has been brought back to life is fading, and the dead can't seem to find rest. This "Death Curse" has been quietly traced to Chult. A savage, uncharted peninsula of suffocating jungles, undead hordes, long forgotten ruins and, of course, dinosaurs. Somewhere in this green hell lies the key. This campaign is built for players who want to test their tactical grit against one of 5e's most unforgiving adventures. The core deadliness will be run as written: resurrection magic is broken, death rolls are harder to overcome and exploration could lead to enemies far tougher than the party can handle. Death is permanent. Couple that with the brutal jungle and you have a clear recipe for pain... and fun! Gather your weapons and your insect repellent. And don't forget to pack your backup characters.

About me

The juice flows and quenches the thirst of the realms. Curve ball player turned dedicated GM. Hardened by chaotic tables, the pull of something more was strong, and thus serenity prevailed to discover the worlds we can build together. I'm here to explore the boundaries of reality, ahem, to have fun and take you on a journey to those worlds.

Character creation

Creating your character

Together we'll figure out quickly if this is the game for you, as that is the most important part. I'll invite you to a Discord Server dedicated to the game, along with a DnDBeyond Campaign so you can create a Character from a multitude of options. Roll for stats, and I'll help you with character creation and anything else, as much as you need.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You need a computer with access to the internet, and a good mic is very much appreciated. You will need to join a Discord server, and interact with a VTT through a browser.

What JUICE brings to the table

There will be quality maps, scenes and ambient music to nearly every situation. I will share with you an extensive library for you to create your character and will always have our VTT space prepared for the adventure. I will bring the world to life by fleshing out locations and NPCs and making sure, above all, the spirit of the module remains as intended. Combat will be frequent and lethal in this game. Rules as Written are enforced, with some Rule of Cool rights reserved to enjoy it further. Everything is aimed at making you really feel like you're in this jungle. Preferably laughing and enjoying every moment - even if your characters die horribly. Note on Art: To give unique faces to minor NPCs and quick visual flavor to a few scenes, I occasionally use AI-assisted art. All tactical battle maps are human-crafted.

Safety

How JUICE creates a safe table

Individually checking with each player for their lines and veils and enforcing them as if they are my own, making the player's boundaries anonymous if so desired. Session 0 will set expectations and general rules, both of conduct and otherwise. There will be a short in session break to give us all time to refresh and enjoy the experience fully, and open door policy is guaranteed: you can step out at any moment you need to.
