About the adventure
Campaign Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3pHowV4e-_I ———————————————— New Orleans by Night. 1994. Jazz in the streets. Blood in the gutters. The Kindred play their games under neon lights and candlelit shadows. •Dig into the city. Clubs, backrooms, graveyards. Power and grief live here •Choose your role. Friend, rival, monster. Every move shifts the balance •Legends walk quiet. Spirits, cults, and old gods don’t stay myths for long •Leave your mark. This is legacy, not survival. What you do echoes The music never stops. And the city never forgets... [[Beginner & LGBTQIA2S+ Friendly]] ------------------------------------------- 📣See what Collin has to say about my GM’ing: "Leland is a pro and brings out great moments for our characters to navigate. I am enjoying their Monster of the Week game and had never played it before. Leland helped to guide me through character creation, set them up on roll20 for easy navigation of my skills and abilities, and has provided me plenty of material to work with to feel immersed in my character and the game world. I would add tags of incredible visual aids - we designed our monster hunter base collaboratively and it looks amazing! I would add the tag of inclusive and safe, rule of cool, and good for beginners because all of those aspects were felt from the start of joining in Leland's game. They are a GM I highly respect for who they are not just as our GM, but as a person too. Highly recommend you try one of their games no matter if you are new to the game system or haven't had the pleasure of playing in one of Leland's games yet! "

About me
Hey everyone, I’m Leland. Some of y’all probably know me online as Leopold the Just. I’ve been obsessed with tabletop RPGs since the early 2000s and somehow still love this hobby just as much now as I did back then. Outside of GMing, I’m usually at concerts, playing board games, getting lost in strategy games and RPGs, camping, traveling, trying good food, wandering through museums and aquariums, or planning my next tattoo. As a GM, I lean hard into strange mysteries, creepy places, emotional roleplay, and NPCs that stick with people long after the session ends. Some games feel cozy. Some feel awful in the best way possible. Sometimes both happen in the same night. If you like character-driven stories and worlds that react to what you do, you’ll probably fit in just fine at my table. --- What to expect at my table and in the community: • Story-first sessions with a big focus on character growth and roleplay • Fast, cinematic combat that stays tense and easy to picture • A world that reacts to what you say and do • Group storytelling and shared worldbuilding where your choices leave marks behind • A relaxed, inclusive space where people can show up as themselves • $5 community one-shots for active members that mix players from different campaigns together • Community hangouts outside the games too: video game streams, board game nights, watch parties, and more! So pull up a virtual chair and let’s tell some stories together!

Creating your character
We will collectively make characters together during session 0, as any good collaborative storytelling game should. This will be a fun process that will involve establishing relationships between each other's characters!
We will create characters together during session 0! Note: I am moving out of the country on October 18th, so we will need 2 weeks off, very early on in the campaign. My apologies in advance!
What to expect
Preparing for the session
🎲 Download the zoom desktop client here: https://us05web.zoom.us/download#client_4meeting (This is where we will host our games during live play. A webcam on your end is completely optional.) There's not much you should do to prepare other than maybe look into the game, if you have the free time. Just to get hyped, haha. Otherwise, we'll learn everything together and ease right into the game! ---------- New to StartPlaying? How Leland H. (Vacation: 10/18-11/3) creates a safe table
I'll have everyone submit lines/veils/interests via a google form or DMs, then I will distribute a pdf document for the other players to have on hand or have it on hand in the Roll20 page. Then we'll go over them during session 0, along with making characters and doing some collaborative storytelling to establish relationships between said characters! Note: The game will typically center around Camarilla politics, bonds, corruption, and lies in the city. For the sake of buy-in, you will be able to choose among a list of clans that were members of the camarilla in 1994 and prior.
