About the adventure
TEETH is a game of occult criminality and monster-hunting in a grotesque version of 18th-century England. Think Sleepy Hollow by way of The Wicker Man, with considerably more mud. It runs on a simplified Forged in the Dark ruleset - the same engine underneath Blades in the Dark - stripped down for fast play. No prior experience with TEETH or with Forged in the Dark is required. Sessions are standalone. There is nothing to read beforehand and no ongoing campaign to catch up on.

About me
I have worked in private game design as Sortilege since 2018. I love teaching new systems and settings to new players: those who have never played an RPG before, or who maybe have only played Dungeons & Dragons before. Also running games in-person in Winnipeg and at cons around North America.

Creating your character
Pre-generated playbooks are provided. We pick characters and fill in the handful of blanks together at the start of the session, which takes about fifteen minutes. There is nothing to prepare in advance and no character sheet to build on your own time.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You will need a Discord account. I will share an invitation link to the Sortilege Discord server once you have signed up, and we play with voice there. There is no reading to do beforehand. I teach the rules at the table.
What Jordan Peacock brings to the table
All materials are provided: playbooks, a one-page rules summary, and any maps or handouts the scenario calls for. Expect atmosphere and black comedy in roughly equal measure. TEETH rewards players who commit to a bad idea, and it makes consequences stick.

How Jordan Peacock creates a safe table
We set lines and veils at the top of every session, and I go over the safety tools before play starts. TEETH is a grotesque game by design, so tell me what you want kept off the table and it stays off - no explanation needed, and you can change your mind mid-session. X, N and O cards are used throughout, and anyone can call for a pause or a rewind at any point. You are also free to step away from the call whenever you need to.
