About the adventure
In this campaign we will be playing the classic adventure of the Curse of Strahd. This is a setting about generations of people suppressed and trapped even should they think they are free after death. No one remembers what it was to have a blue sky, or a bright sun. Resources are low because there has been little influx of goods, being cut off from the outside world. The people have forgotten what it means to hope for freedom, or that freedom even exits. In this game we will get to know the people of Barovia, struggle for resources, investigate the secrets of the world, and attempt to find a way to escape the world we are trapped in. We will fight not only evil, but lethargy and a world that has long given up. Treasure is rare, kindness is subtle, skepticism is high in a world that has seen many heroes come and die. The real question in Barovia is how strong is your will to survive and escape.

About me
Storytelling for me is a thread that has run through my entire lifetime and continues to be the major thread in everything I do. RPG games like D&D and Pathfinder were something I found later in life, but since the first campaign with friends and family more than 8 years ago, it has become what I love most. Collaborative storytelling where we all come together with the sole purpose of having fun, fighting some monsters, and telling a story together is community at its best. I think what makes me the DM that I am, is that whatever you are doing, if it is in the pursuit of telling your story, I am right there with you excited to help make it happen. I love the rules, I love the numbers, I love character creation, but what outshines all of that are the moments when the whole table is all in supporting each other in telling a story, eyes lit up, joyful laughter or moans of despair--that is what it is all about for me. I hope to tell a story with you someday!

What Kelly brings to the table
I focus heavily on the story unfolding and making players feel like they exist in the world and that their choices matter. I am interested in people immersing themselves with role playing, without ignoring the fact that the rules and the rolls help to preserve a level of randomness that makes the game feel alive.
