About the adventure

Welcome to Silvercove, the crown jewel of the coast! You'll choose your path, build your crew, and get pulled into secrets that reach back to the five heroes who founded this city a thousand years ago, the same five bloodlines that still rule it today. You'll get to figure out which noble house is lying to you, and what they're hiding beneath the streets. This is a classic fantasy campaign built around political intrigue and a mystery that runs deeper than anyone in Silvercove wants to admit. The city was raised on the battlefield where its founders struck down an ancient evil, or so the story goes. As adventurers new to the city, you'll navigate the ambitions of five noble houses, each pursuing its own agenda, each willing to bend the truth to protect it. Most of your time will be spent in Silvercove's streets, courts, and back rooms, with expeditions beyond the walls when the mystery demands it. Your choices carry weight here. Every alliance you make and every secret you uncover, shapes what Silvercove becomes. Save the people, expose the truth, or claim power for yourselves, the city will remember what you chose! This game is perfect for players who love character driven stories, morally gray politics, and a mystery that rewards paying attention. Roleplay comes first, with plenty of room to grow into your character as the campaign unfolds. At my table, story and character come first weather you're an experienced player or not, rules come second, and NPCs remember everything. By the time the truth about Silvercove comes out, nothing in the city will look the same again.

About me

Hi! I'm Philip, and I've been a D&D player for over 8 years and DMing for about 4 of those. Long enough to know that the best moments at the table are the ones nobody planned for. I grew up on the kind of stories where the world felt alive, where every choice had weight, every character had a soul, and the line between epic and intimate could vanish in a single scene. Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, The Witcher, that's the main driving factor of my games. High stakes, deep lore, morally complex NPCs, and a world that doesn't wait for you to be ready. Outside the game, I'm a professional singer and guitarist for 10 years now. I've spent my time performing and understanding how emotion, timing, and presence can make or break a moment and also how important it is to respect other peoples time. That carries straight to the table when an NPC speaks at my games and when I run the games themselves, there's intention behind every word. When the story calls for tension, you'll feel it. When it calls for triumph, you'll remember it. I also run games with my IRL crew on YouTube over at D20 Dilemma (https://www.youtube.com/@D20Dilemma) check it out if you want to see exactly what kind of shenanigans we get up to before you sit down at my table!

Character creation

Creating your character

We'll jump on a quick voice call to talk through your concept and backstory, then head into Roll20 to get your interactive sheet built and ready to go. No idea is too rough to start with. I'm glad to help you shape it from scratch. I'm here if you have any questions regarding the campaign setting and how your character will fit into it.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

The only thing that you need is a Roll20 account, a Discord account and of course a decent headset and a microphone.

What Philip brings to the table

As your Game Master, I want every session to feel polished and immersive. Here's what I bring to the table: I run everything through a Roll20 Pro subscription, so you'll have full access to the platform's D&D 5E library right out of the gate no extra purchases needed on your end. On top of that, my personal collection covers nearly the entire 5E catalog. That means we've got real flexibility when it comes to building characters, picking spells, and shaping the kinds of adventures we run the game can bend toward what you actually want to play. I also put thought into the audio side of things. Sessions are backed by music suited to whatever's happening in the moment, whether that's a quiet exploration scene or a fight that's spiraling out of control. When it comes to NPCs, I lean into voices, improv, and performance to make them feel like real people rather than plot devices. Every encounter should feel distinct and worth remembering. Finally, our group has its own Discord server, with dedicated spaces for roleplay, character info, feedback, and a general hangout chat. It's a good spot to keep developing your character's story and goals outside of session time.

Safety

How Philip creates a safe table

Like I always say: The players are my top priority! Making sure every player feels safe and comfortable is something I take seriously in every game I run. My door is always open, if anything ever comes up that you want to talk about, you can reach out to me anytime. There are no stupid questions. We also build a halfway break into every session, giving everyone a chance to grab snacks, stretch, or chat about where the story might go next. Above all, you can count on having someone at the table who's actually listening and willing to adjust as needed to make sure the game works for you.
