About the adventure

Though each of you joined this caravan for your own reasons, you share a common need for survival: the treacherous mountain terrain is far too dangerous to navigate alone. Travel stretches across long days and weeks, whether spent in the saddle or riding in a cart, with actual inns proving to be a rare luxury. More often, rest is found by pitching camp near a freshwater source, relying on the most capable travelers among you to keep watch throughout the night. High up in the White Peak Mountains, you find a decent-sized inn situated off the main path. Eager for rest, the group agrees to stop. The youngest travelers and their families get first choice of the rooms, while everyone else sorts out the remaining accommodations. This is where your journey truly begins. During your stay, you encounter resident orc mercenaries from Pey—a town established at the base of the mountains that has been home to generations of orc tribes and newcomers seeking gold, shelter, or a new beginning. When the local guards refuse to investigate the town's first-ever murder, you travel to Pey under their guise to uncover the truth. Shortly before your arrival, a mysterious plague marked by dream-induced fevers begins sweeping through the settlement. To stop it, you must unravel the secrets of Pey's founding, navigate its intricate politics, and discover the true origin of the plague and the murders before it is too late.

About me

Ive been GM'ing games off and on for two years for my friends and want to take it to the next level and branch out from my normal group. Storytelling is a passion of mine that I enjoy bringing to life in DND for myself and others. Im really big on roleplay in games instead of it being heavy into combat. Overall I want everyone to have fun and get to live out your fantasy <3

Character creation

Creating your character

We will handle character creation and going over details that you character would know in session 0. If your uncomfortable doing it around your party members we can take time to do things one on one to make it easier for you. You can make your sheet on dnd beyond or another platform aslong as i have access to it. Your starting level will be level 3 and have opportunities to get all the way up to level 15 as this is a milestone leveling campaign. And since this is a homebrew town and setting inside of forgotten realms just look onto forgotten realms lore for any question regarding the world lore or feel free to ask me.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Have a Discord account and a roll 20 account as we will primarily be using both for playing and talking. There will be a discord server link along with a roll20 link for the campaign. If your not comfortable using certain sites im always okay with looking for an alternative.

What Lady Death brings to the table

I provide ambient music, the best voices i can muster, average to low combat, homebrew, and rules as we go. I lean onto providing the most atmosphere so you end up getting immersed into the roleplay and everything around your character. Im fine with some chaos but this game goes from a unserious to serious game at times so be prepared to go with the mood of the setting.

Homebrew rules

I don't have many homebrew rules, as I am flexible with the standard in-game rules. My primary rule is that Heroic Inspiration can be used for almost anything, provided you offer a compelling reason or exceptional roleplay for your intent. It can be used as originally intended or applied similarly to the Wish spell.
