About the adventure

This is an official starting adventure for the Daggerheart System, providing info on how to play and premade characters. The setting is one both filled with wonder and dread as the Sablewood is filled with magic both blessed and cursed from the time before the Gods fell. Mixing both roleplay and combat this game acts as a good starter for those new to RPG's in general not just those new to this system.

About me

Hi, I am Sam I'm a Scottish Autistic looking to make his long-term hobby of TTRPGs into a stable source of income. My nerd background is in fantasy having fallen in love with LotR at a young age and having consumed tomes of many worlds since but I also have a great love for cosmic horror and obviously the myriad nerd interests i.e. comics, anime, sci-fi, internet horror (creepypasta, SCP), etc. I enjoy GMing games of D&D (with 10yrs experience and 30+ different players), though I have been looking recently to get into other systems. These games have been a central part of my life since high school, and my outlet both for creativity and opening up socially and through them did I learn my passion for writing and art which have also become burgeoning professional interest in the past couple years. My hope in taking this professionally is to be able to provide for those around me and gain a sense of purpose as well as to give back to this community which has given so much to me especially those needing a place to open up, create and meet friends like I did as kid.

Character creation

Creating your character

All characters are premade. At the start of the session I will go over each briefly, and let players discuss and decide who they'd like to play as.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Accounts for Roll 20 and Discord will be needed as the platforms for play and communication; all other prep is handled.

What DemonhunterGM brings to the table

I am a GM with 10 years of experience and have not only run Daggerheart before but also this exact adventure. I'm familiar with dealing with new players and systems, and happy to answer any questions you may have. Besides this, I am skilled in using Roll20 to provide the best experience on the virtual tabletop, use multiple voices to distinguish characters, and I'm descriptive of environments so that immersion into the world is seamless.

Safety

How DemonhunterGM creates a safe table

Before game day I will send a link to a safety checklist so that I know any lines not to cross for each player to fill out. Who set each line will remain anonymous, but every player will be informed of the topics to avoid. Moreover, should anything catch someone off guard Just type X in chat or say X in call and I will stop to discuss what in the scene needs to be reworked or removed.
