About the adventure
Eltan's Keep is only the beginning. Beyond its walls lies a world that hasn't been fully written yet. Because you and your fellow players will help create it. Your adventure begins imprisoned within Eltan's Keep, an infamous fortress from which few have ever escaped. Why are you here? Who put you in chains? And, perhaps more importantly, who are the strangers imprisoned alongside you? Your first challenge is simple: break free. What happens after that is anything but. This is a classic fantasy Daggerheart campaign built around the heroes at the table. Ancient ruins, dangerous monsters, forgotten magic, rival kingdoms, mysterious forests and bustling cities may all lie beyond the prison walls. But your characters, their histories and your choices will help determine the world we discover together. Whether you're completely new to Daggerheart or an experienced adventurer looking for a character-driven fantasy campaign, you're welcome at the table. Expect cinematic action, meaningful choices, exploration, mystery and plenty of roleplay in a story where the world grows around your party...and remembers what you do...

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello adventurers and heroes, nice to meet you! I'm Babis, a professional Game Master, game designer, and writer from Greece, with more than 15 years of experience working in the gaming industry. I've been playing RPGs for almost 30 years and telling stories for more than 20, while my professional journey has given me the opportunity to work on board games and RPG projects for companies and worlds that I genuinely love. Throughout all these years, however, one thing has remained the same: nothing excites me more than sitting around a table and creating an unforgettable story together with my players. I specialize in character-driven, cinematic games where your choices matter and your characters are at the heart of the story. Vampire: The Masquerade and the World of Darkness are very close to my heart, but you'll also find me running Daggerheart, Dungeons & Dragons, Savage Worlds, and other systems whenever there is a great story waiting to be told. Whether you've been roleplaying for decades or you're about to roll your very first dice, you're more than welcome at my table. Bring me an interesting character and a willingness to become part of the story, and together we'll take care of the rest!

Creating your character
Your character is where our world begins. We will create characters together during Session 0, using the standard Daggerheart character creation rules. New players are absolutely welcome. I’ll guide you through every step, from choosing your ancestry, community, and class to defining your Experiences and Connections. Character creation will also be part of our collaborative worldbuilding. Your choices help answer questions about the world beyond Eltan’s Keep: Where do you come from? What peoples and cultures exist there? What brought you to the Keep? Who, or what, put you behind bars? You don't need to arrive with a detailed backstory; we'll discover many of these answers together. Most importantly, we'll establish why these very different heroes might choose to trust one another when the opportunity to escape finally comes. Once our characters are ready, the escape from Eltan’s Keep begins. ⛓️
What to expect
Preparing for the session
No homework required! You don't need previous Daggerheart experience or a completed character before joining. We'll handle character creation, rules, and worldbuilding together during Session 0. 🎲 Before the game, you'll only need: A free Discord account for voice and communication. A working microphone and a stable internet connection. Access to our VTT/game tools (I’ll provide all necessary links and instructions before the session). Most importantly, bring your imagination and a willingness to help build our fantasy world together! Never played Daggerheart before? You're more than welcome. I'll teach the rules as they come up naturally during play. No rulebook reading required.
What Babis brings to the table
🎭 A story built around your characters, not characters forced into my story. I bring more than 15 years of professional experience in game design, development, and narrative to the table, with a strong focus on character-driven storytelling and player agency. Expect distinct NPC voices, immersive descriptions, ambient music, memorable characters, cinematic encounters, and a world that reacts to your decisions. I embrace Daggerheart's collaborative spirit: your character's background, relationships, successes, failures, and ideas will actively shape the campaign and the world around you. ⚔️ My GM style is cinematic rather than rules-lawyerly. The rules matter and give our choices weight, but when the rules and an unforgettable moment collide, I'm happy to embrace the Rule of Cool, as long as we're being fair to everyone at the table. 🌍 Most importantly, this won't just be my fantasy world. It'll become ours. I'll provide the foundations, NPCs, conflicts, mysteries, maps, music, and adventures, but I'll leave plenty of blank spaces for us to discover and create together. Come ready to make bold choices. I'll make sure the world remembers them.

How Babis creates a safe table
🛡️ Everyone deserves to feel welcome and safe at the table. Before we begin, we'll discuss Lines & Veils and establish any themes or subjects players would prefer to avoid or keep off-screen. These boundaries can always be updated during the campaign: no explanation is ever required. During play, anyone can pause or redirect a scene if something becomes uncomfortable. Player wellbeing always takes priority over preserving a scene, a rule, or something I had planned. We'll also use Session 0 to establish the tone of the campaign, expectations at the table, and the kind of fantasy story we want to create together. After particularly intense sessions, I'm always happy to leave a little time for decompression and conversation. ❤️ This is a collaborative table. Respect between players, sharing the spotlight, and making sure everyone gets the chance to contribute are as important to me as telling a great story. We're here to take risks as characters, not to make the people behind them uncomfortable.
