About the adventure
You are the sworn servants and agents of a Rogue Trader dynasty, and your patron has seen better days. Once, the Sarthene dynasty's ships plied warp routes across the frontier; its holdings brought in staggering wealth; its banner flew proudly upon a dozen worlds. Then the galaxy split in half, and everything went to hell. Routes were destroyed, ships disappeared with all hands, old holdings were lost to the warp and the Long Night. Quite a few people decided that whatever Sarthene owned was probably up for grabs, too. But the dynasty isn't quite dead yet. It still has an ancient Warrant of Trade, a venerable warship and a pile of old claims. Lord-Captain Lucasta Sarthene is determined to turn the fotunes of her house around... and this is where you come in, as some of the last capable agents she has left. So when a rumour about a lost treasure world begins to circulate around the Iron Archipelago, you have to be the ones to find it - the fate of the whole dynasty depends on it! The stars you were owed are out there. Will you have the strength and guts to seize them once more?
Meet the Game Master
About me
Greetings from Central Asia! I’m a full-time professional Game Master based in Almaty, Kazakhstan, with over 800 sessions hosted on StartPlaying and over a decade of experience running roleplaying games. I specialise in long-form, character-driven campaigns, particularly dark fantasy, science fiction, horror, and faction-heavy adventures. My games combine the structure and depth of published campaigns with the freedom of a home game. I reshape adventures around the characters, their relationships, and the consequences of their decisions rather than forcing the group through a fixed script. I bring more than a decade of professional experience as an interpreter and international tour guide into my games, too.

Creating your character
We will work together to create the characters during Session 0. The Core rulebook is the one we're going to pay the most attention to, with the Adeptus Mechanicus guide available as a supplement.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You'll need a Forge and a Discord account. Having a decent microphone and a quiet room for the session is a big bonus. Other than that, bring your best gothic mood and a desire for the grim darkness of the 41st millenium!
What Sergey Sakharov brings to the table
I'll bring a fully set up campaign on Foundry, complete with scenic art, battlemaps and tokens - everything you need to visualise your journey through the grim darkness of the far future! The majority of the game takes place in Theater of the Mind, so I will have illustrated scenes, tokens and other visual aids to facilitate your imagination. Battlemaps will be used for tactical scenarios and the more involved combats to make sure we're all on the same page! I tend to follow the players' lead in the games. Most of the time my adventures are shaped as "landscapes", with multiple ways to achieve your goals, and a lot of freedom in choosing how you get to the adventure's objective.

Safety
How Sergey Sakharov creates a safe table
Warhammer 40.000 is a grimdark setting. Despair, oppression, death, horrors both mundane and eldritch - you can expect that aplenty. That said, there are a few lines that won't be crossed under any circumstances: - Explicit depiction of sexual encounters. They may be hinted at, but never "on screen". - No sexual assault of PCs or NPCs. - Gory naturalistic details of violence will be mostly given "at large". I don't delve into the massive amount of bloody details. Warhammer as such has just about every content warning out there applicable to it, but if you're signing up for this game I'll assume you're aware.
