About the adventure
Well hey there. I didn't hear y'all. C'mon in. Sit yourselves down and take a load off. It's no night to be outside. Tea? Ya'll eatin' anything yet? Maybe something bit stronger? No? Hmm...you youngins look like you're carryin' the weight o' the world on your shoulders. Heh. Don't get bristly. When you gets to be my age, everyone's a youngin. Ain't no offence meant. Oh you're too kind. I'm a might older than I look... I get the feelin y'all are looking for somethin'...or running from somethin'. Most folks that come way out here to see me is doing one or t'other. There's a lot of dark places here in the deep woods, and only a few of us old timers knows them all. Sure, I'll help y'all out with some witch-bags and whatnot. I can even tell y'all a little about that blank-eyed man you been seeing in the shadows. Don't fret. It's passably safe here. Oh, and don't mind that scratchin at the door... - - - - Old God's of Appalachia the RPG is based upon the phenomenal horror anthology podcast of the same name. It's run with Monty Cook's Cypher rules set that allows for fun, narrative-driven roleplaying that doesn't get bogged down with tables, charts, and (yuck) math. This game really is a blast to play with any setting, and when you have one like Old Gods...well, it's just a darned good time. So grab your witch-bags and your hex powder, whistle for your old hound dog, and get ready to push back against the Dark. Here we're all Family...

About me
I've run games for adults. I've run games for kids. I've run games for newbies. I've run games for experienced players. I've run games for just about everyone! Whether it's a group of new players who can't wait to nail their first nat 20, a pack of grizzled grognards clutching their old "red box" editions of 1E, or a mix of the two, I love helping people make-believe, have some fun, and escape reality for a while. I do my level best to make everyone feel like they're tossing dice at my dining room table. All are welcome! Join one of my existing games, or contact me to curate an experience for your gaming group.

Creating your character
All of the characters will be residents of Appalachia in the 1920s. This is a historic setting RPG. I have lots of characters created for this game that you can choose from. This system emphasizes a direct and intuitive character creation process. If you have a character concept you'd like to try, let me know and we'll work one up for you.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Each player will need: -a Discord account, -a microphone, -a good Internet connection, -a webcam (optional, but suggested), -and an enthusiasm for role-playing! That's it! I'm here to get you playing with a minimum of fuss. I don't want a bunch of nonessential stuff standing in the way of our fun.
What DM G. brings to the table
I'm here to make sure my players have a good time. This will feel as much like an in-person session at my house as possible. I use ambient sound/music to help create the right mood and highlight it all with my best NPC voices and sound effects! Embrace your character, play the roll, and glorious adventure will be assured. I never let the details get in the way of a good story, and a good story is just as much laughter as it is serious. Each game with me is a new experience, and with the way my improv mind wanders, never the same game twice!
