About the adventure

The 3:15 Krewe is a campaign built to explore the passage of time in American cities that are left behind and forgotten. In the new digital age, there is only so much development to go around. Despite the best efforts of the government, some parts of small town America are left behind. Bonham is such a town, with more skeletons than one can imagine in its closet. No matter how much it tries to keep with the times, you can see all the various ages the town has gone through, from its early days as a settler town in 1850, all the way to 2026 with the new data center being built on the town outskirts. You, as a recently born again Sin-Eater, have been blessed with a second chance. With the ability to see and hear the pleas of the dead, you have recently received a letter pleading for you to aid in the unfinished business of a high school student's ghost. You only need to break into an abandoned high school to get started... Players who join should expect the following: *A campaign focused on atmosphere and exploration of bleak, but not grim dark, themes. *A moderate to light combat experience, geared more towards a rule of cool instead of a rules as written experience. *A town of possibility to explore and mold to your desire. The 3:15 Krewe is a campaign built for players of all skill levels, and open to all looking for a moody and atmospheric experience.

About me

Hiya! My name is Kino (She/Her), and I've been an RPG player and DM since first discovering World of Darkness in 2010. After touching pen to paper, and dice to table, I've never been able to stop. I have a real love to introducing new players from other systems to new systems, particularly all the flavors of that WoD has to offer. As a queer trans-woman, I pride myself in fostering diverse tables, holding a safe space for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC folks, as the hobby is always greater when everyone is welcome. We all have a role to play! While WoD has always been my main system I run, with a focus on Vampire, Werewolf, and Geist, I do have experience running other system; Dungeons and Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, and most recently Avatar Legends. I have always tried to familiarize myself with other systems, as its a great way to stay creative and passionate. You never know where a good idea can come from. A lot of my focus as Game Master tends to be on creating social, political, and world building style games. While combat and rules style gameplay is important for all kinds of games, I find that in my experience the memorable moments are the connections players make with each other and to NPCs. I look forward to share my love for World of Darkness and other games. I know from my own time spent playing games how hard it can be to find GMs that are experienced and willing to run. I look forward to having you at my table!

Character creation

Creating your character

Feel free to make a character before hand, an old character you are bringing back to the table, or we can work together to make character. Regardless of what you decide, please expect for us to review it together in a session 0 to ensure I can best plan to incorporate things like backstory and future skill checks into the campaign. Session 0 is of course free of charge.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

Players joining the campaign have the following before Session 1 starts: 1) A Discord Account- you need this in order to have access to the group voice chat during play, as well as in game materials players will be given during play. This is also where any updates about the next session or will be posted, in addition to Start Playing. 2) A Roll20 Account - this will be where character sheets are made and dice rolled will be done on.

What Kino brings to the table

Upon completing Session 0, players will be added to the campaign Discord. Players will find beyond the basic tabs for organizing information, there will be sections for in universe building. Expect various in game newspaper headlines, NPC interactions during down time, and more. Players will also be provided an anonymous google survey where feedback about the game can be provided, as well as any concerns that may come up that is hard to discuss one on one or in group settings. Players should expect things to lean in a Rule of Cool direction over Rules as Written. I believe in fostering a more combat lite style of gameplay, sandbox approach.

Safety

How Kino creates a safe table

Before joining a campaign, we in Session 0 will not only create/review your character sheet, but go over some ground rules and guidelines, such as the safety tools and any questions you may have. Every game I run will use Lines and Veils. I also maintain an open door policy so any player may take a break at any time in order to best manage any emotions or needs that may come up as a result of play. Session 0 is also were we will have discussions about any needs or boundaries that should be implemented as well to ensure the best playing environment. Players will also have access to anonymous google survey link to also seed feedback or requests that maybe difficult to broach in a group or one on one setting.
