About the adventure
CURSE OF THE WEREDRAGON A collaborative dark-fantasy D&D campaign where the players help create the villain, shape the world, and decide what happens next. "The Weredragon came at night. Entire districts burned to ash. You survived, alone amid the scorched streets and the dead. By morning, each of you bore the same mark. A brand that hadn't been there before. And somewhere above the clouds, the Weredragon knows you're still alive." YOU CREATE THE VILLAIN The Weredragon isn't a monster I hand you from a book. You help create it. During Session 0, we'll decide together where it came from, what it wants, what makes it terrifying, and what powers and habbits it possesses. Then I'll take everything we create and build the campaign around it. You create the monster. I'll make sure you have to face it. YOU HELP CREATE THE WORLD The Weredragon's influence reaches across an entire realm of ancient forests, forgotten civilizations, sprawling cities, dangerous swamps, and places that have never been mapped. Every player will also have the opportunity to create a region of the world. • A kingdom built on the back of a colossal beast? • A floating city ruled by centaurs? • A civilization hiding beneath an ancient jungle? If you can imagine it, we can find a place for it in the world. And once the campaign begins, your creations aren't just background lore. they become places your characters explore, people they meet, and problems they have to deal with. Inspired by Daggerheart's "Reign of the Weredragon" campaign frame, adapted for D&D 5.5e.

About me
Well met! I’ve been GM-ing since 2018, my storytelling style tends to be gritty, character-driven fantasy with enough humor to bring out the occasional laugh. I draw inspiration from writers like Joe Abercrombie and George R. R. Martin. I’m also influenced by video games such as The Witcher, Shadow of the Colossus, and Dragon Age: Origins. At my table, player freedom is at the core of the experience. I enjoy it when players test the limits of my imagination and push the story in unforeseen directions. I tend to return the favor by placing players in situations where they have to improvise on the fly, which can be both challenging and rewarding. If you enjoy that type of challenge, you’ll likely have a good time at my table. My goal is always to create a vivid theater-of-the-mind experience where players can unleash their creativity and leave with unforgettable stories. I favor theater-of-the-mind GM-ing because I want to mimic the feeling of a real-life table as closely as possible.

Creating your character
During Session 0, we’ll go through character creation step by step and discuss how each character fits into the world. You can already come with a prepared sheet in any form (pen&paper, pdf, link, etc..)
What to expect
Preparing for the session
🎓Knowing the basics of D&D 5.5 helps, but it’s not required. New players are welcome, and I’ll provide guidance along the way. 🎤Make sure you have access to Discord and a reliable microphone
What IvanGMT brings to the table
A Theater of the Mind experience, we will be using Discord as our voice/video chat - Video is not required, but it’s a welcome addition nonetheless. There will be occasional ambient/action music. Rule of cool applies, the amount of combat we will experience depends on the group - whether they are the kind who likes to engage or avoid. You decide!
