About the adventure
[LGBTQIA2S+ Inclusive] When an unstable warp surge tore through the Geller fields, your voidship suffered near-crippling damage. In the havoc the senior bridge officers were all killed, leaving you, the juniormost crew members holding down the upper decks. Now, field-promoted to the Rogue Trader's “elite”retinue, you stand on the blood-stained bridge of a crippled vessel dropped blind into a shadowed, unmapped system missing from all Imperial records. Strange stellar formations light up the augur displays, casting eerie glimmers across unknown planetary silhouettes and silent, drifting void-ruins. With the ship venting plasma and long-range Vox failing, your survival relies on venturing into a completely uncharted reach of space. **Play will revolve around a group of PCs, their Rogue Trader's retinue, who are, basically, all they have left. As a group you'll design your Rogue Trader Patron, then explore and maybe plunder this system. Maybe it's one the Dynasty should take over, maybe it's just a source for spare parts, we shall see! Using Imperium Maledictum, instead of Wrath & Glory means it'll be a grittier game. Fewer grand heroics and more tense firefights and investigation. I've designed the lost system for you to explore, having drawn on WH40K wherever I can (the wargame, novels, video games, the other RPGs). Despite being a Rogue Trader framework campaign, this won't be a game of intense Quartermastering. Maybe assets discovered will open up Endeavours, but I'm not here to Solar and Throne you to death. I'm here to bolter and chainsword you to death.

Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello! I’ve been playing and running RPGs for the better part of 3 decades, professionally for 10. In that time I’ve introduced tabletop rpgs in kids’ programs (ages 8-13) and to adults of all ages. I love nothing more than bringing people into the hobby! I run an inclusive and respectful table that spans playstyles from a light, casual atmosphere to an immersive and deep experience. Over at www.thetabletopalmanac.wordpress.com you can read reviews I’ve done of a variety of games. Even if not listed on my profile, I’m available to run them all!

Creating your character
We'll create characters all together on Discord, prior to the first session. We're using whatever IM books we'd like: Inquisition, Mechanicus, Requisition Guide. These will be starting level PCs. They are meant to be fish totally-out-of-water and shivering in their voidsuits from massive responsibility and encroaching dread.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
I'll send links, but you'll need a Discord account and Sqyre account, since that's where I host Foundry.
What Simon brings to the table
I do voices, I do music if the technical aspects work properly. I stick to RAW and do my rolls in the open (for the most part). This means that sometimes things will go wildly against the PCs or myself! I'm also here to make sure everyone gets to contribute and nobody gets talked over. I don't use cameras, which makes it difficult to read someone's body language and know they're about to speak. I may respectfully, but firmly, ask for everyone to go when called on, so nobody's drowned out.
Homebrew rules
I'll provide some homebrew Origins, so we can have Xenos and other unreleased character options on board the vessel.

How Simon creates a safe table
I'll present a consent checklist, mostly to be used as a "The following rpg campaign may (or will) contain scenes of X,Y,X, and definitely not 1,2,3." X cards are always in play. Our Session 0 will be online through Discord as I've found it easiest to cover everything when it's in writing.
