About the adventure
Using the fast-and-furious Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 rules, Jackpoint puts you at the beginning of the Sixth World metaplot before taking you on a decades-long ride through Shadowrun history. It's an ideal entry point for newcomers to the setting -- and a chance for veteran runners to have their say in history. The campaign will be presented as a series of ~10 session 'seasons' inspired by Shadowrun classics such as Universal Brotherhood, Bug City, Renraku Arcology, and more, all lovingly adapted for SRA2 and modern tabletop play. You will stand against the insidious Insect Spirits, race against time in a city doomed to nuclear bombardment, read a dead dragon's will, and find yourself caught between a megacorporation and a rogue AI. And that's just the first half. You will build trusted contacts, earn a reputation, and leave your mark on the Sixth World. Somewhere along the way, your characters will have a chance to find their happy endings -- or perish in a blaze of glory -- making way for new blood as the campaign moves into the modern Shadowrun era and explores more recent developments in the metaplot. Every season will offer considerable freedom in how you pursue your objectives, and the outcome of each story will be uniquely your own. The fates of key NPCs and entire factions will be decided, with consequences echoing throughout the campaign. The history of the Sixth World is yours to write. Welcome to Jackpoint: A Sixth World Chronicle.

About me
'"How dangerous is it?" Kid, if you want to go on a milk run, you're talking to the wrong Fixer. Name's Victor, and I don't do 'safe.' But if you're looking for something more than creds; if you want to make a real difference in this fragged slagheap we live in? Well, I know a guy.' Cyberpunk, sci-fi, post-apoc -- those are the genres I specialize in, and the worlds in those settings are often dark and cynical. Mine are no exception. But the stories aren't written by the setting; they're written by the protagonists, and I'm not looking to write a story about another cog in a dystopic machine. I want people who are wrong for their time and place. Together with you, I want to tell stories of rage against the machine, compassion in the face of cynicism, and a foolhardy belief that things can be better. That doesn't mean I'll go easy on you, of course. The universe abhors change, and I'll hit you with the worst it can muster. You will fall, and you will fail. As your biggest fan, though, I trust that you'll get back up, and I'll keep cheering for you as you stumble towards a brighter future. 'Think you got what it takes, kid? Let's get fixing.'

Creating your character
Character concepts and connections will be discussed together as a group during a free session 0, and character creation rules and guidelines are supplied in the campaign's discord channel so you can start brainstorming ideas as soon as you sign up! On request, I'll also walk individual players through the character creation process outside of scheduled session time, at no additional cost.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A Discord account is required for both sessions and between-session communication. The game is hosted on Foundry VTT; no purchase or registration necessary for the players. A dedicated microphone is highly recommended. Cameras optional, but not required.
What Fixer Victor brings to the table
The campaign draws from classic Shadowrun material, but every campaign and session is rebuilt to fit Shadowrun Anarchy 2.0 and the direction chosen by the players Each session will feature atmospheric backdrop visuals and music, with key encounters playing out on purpose-built battlemaps An ever-growing cast of NPCs will follow your runners' progress; expect old friends to come to your aid, and rivals seeking you out to settle the score You'll have an opportunity to stay with the same character through the seasons, or 'retire' them at the end of an arc and bring something new into play I highly prefer running 4 player tables, with a possible extension to 5 if desired by the players. If fewer than 3 players are present for a session, it will be rescheduled for next week.
