About the adventure

This is a game friendly to new players, and veterans alike. Also I will use 4th edition only as that is the version I am most familiar with. It will be played with voice. Still not decided if I will use simple grid maps, or just describe where everything is. I'm not looking for a more tactical grid role play type of game. Instead I enjoy having a person be more creative with their character and what they can do with there own skills. There isn't a whole lot of character types that are off limits. But they must be from a Major or Minor clan that currently exist. With the exception of the Spider clan. It takes place in an alternate time line where the Toturi still hold the throne and about 300 years after the 4 Winds era. If you don't know what that is, it's completely fine. I can help you with character creation. You will be playing a brand new Order called The Owl Sona. They're not a new clan, but will a lot of power and privilege's akin to an Imperial Family. The Owl Sona answer to both the Emerald and Jade Champion. They are young samurai gathered around at Kyuden Akodo during a Winter Court. It is there they will be put into groups of samurai from other clans. There mission is travel around the Empire and investigate issues that are popping up through the land. The great Clans have banned together in the last 300 years, and have known a great prosperity than they ever had. There has been plenty of food, goods, and living conditions. Even the eta, and peasants have had to work a lot less with way more gain. Crime is at an all time low, as well as dangerous dealings of super natural nature. The Mantis have expanded to the Second City, and the Unicorn have other colonies as well. The Dragon and Phoenix have had sent missionaries to expand The Celestial Wheel to other corners of the world. The Crane have become masters of trade and brought on a new age of merchants where the handling of Koku and goods is no longer seen with disdain. The Crab have held the Shadowlands at bay with ease, and building a second wall after retaking Kyuden Hiruma. The Lion and Scorpion have helped using both military might, and the power of ruling the under ground in enforcing the law as well providing extra protection with other clans exploring lands outside of Rokugan. As well as helping out the crusade of the Crab to eradicate the threat of Jigoku and the festering pit. Yet not all is what it seems. Every Major Clan now harbors dark secrets, and western influence has reached the Emperors ear, as well as hidden threats on the horizon. Major change is happening in Rokugan.
