About the adventure
Session 0 will be free! Operation Deadfall is the new official DnD 5.5e Adventure released alongside Arcana Unleashed. Thay has long been a land associated with evil wizards, the undead, their Lich overlord, and fashionable red robes. So far their influence has been contained, but now the dread Lich Szass Tam grasps once again for total control of Thay, and the lands beyond. In this campaign you will become agents of another of Thay's leaders, and rival to the Lich, in 'Operation Deadfall'. You undertake a series of clandestine missions to undermine and defeat Szass Tam before his evil schemes can come to fruition. If you are successful, they might keep him dead for one hundred years, protecting the world from his despotic plans. But if you fail, undead hordes infused with demonic power will overrun Thay and kill anyone who doesn’t swear fealty to Szass Tam. And ff the operation is discovered, Szass Tam will kill you and everyone they love. So stay hidden, and don't fail! Play as a Red Wizard, a Thayan knight, or simply a Hero in the right place at the right time, and challenge one of DnDs most infamous villains. This is a high-level spy thriller campaign. While there will be plenty of action, not every problem will be solvable with an axe to the face or a fireball in the room.

About me
Hey there, I'm Lukas, I'm an amateur writer, an avid reader and a gamer. I love Fantasy and Sci-Fi books and narrative focused games of all kinds. I love imersing myself in complex and expansive worlds, and i am passionate about creating such myself. I had my start in TTRPGs when the pandemic started, as so many of us did, and it's been one of my favorite hobbies from the start. I've been either playing or GMing consistently since then, playing different systems and running both homebrew worlds and pre-written adventures.

Creating your character
Characters will start at lvl 11 and you will be able to choose from most available Species, Classes, Subclasses, Backgrounds, etc. on DnDBeyond. Content Sharing is enabled, so you will be able to use my extensive library of character options.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
You need a discord account and an account on DnDBeyond. And of course a decent microphone and stable internet connection.
What Lukas brings to the table
I will provide a large library of character options to choose from on DnDBeyond, as well as Maps and Tokens for fun and tactical combat encounters. I generally run my games with Rules as Intended, and am absolutely willing to bend or break rules if it makes for a cool moment. At my table there are neither stupid questions nor bad roleplay. If you have any questions about how something works, or need help with anything regarding your character or the game, you can ask without judgement, and similarly you don't have to worry about bad accents or being an inexperienced rollplayer. This is about having fun after all.
Homebrew rules
I use a few relatively common homebrew rules, -Drinking potions is a bonus action, but you can use an action instead to heal the full amount and not roll. -Brutal Criticals (dice roll + max damage).

How Lukas creates a safe table
This is a game, so first and foremost it is important that everyone is having fun and is feeling comfortable. Before the game starts will be using a consent checklist to make sure we avoid triggering topics. There will be a session 0 where we will go over the themes of the campaign again, as well as the safetly tools. And if during the game anybody feels uncomfortable with anything, we use X cards and we can allways interrupt the game to ensure no lines are crossed.
