About the adventure
WELCOME TO THE FORGOTTEN REALMS. A persistent, asynchronous Play-by-Post campaign where you can explore Faerûn at your own pace alongside other players inhabiting the same living, evolving world. Play when you can. Go where you wish. Become who you choose. And leave something behind for the next adventurer to discover. Bellow you will find two things, how i write text campaings, and what this camaping is about. "Come closer, travelers. There is room beside the fire." The minstrel's fingers pass gently across the strings of his lute as mugs settle against old wooden tables and conversations slowly quiet around him. He watches the gathered strangers for a moment before smiling. "You've heard the songs before, haven't you? Songs of heroes. Of monsters. Of impossible journeys and men and women foolish enough to undertake them." His fingers stop upon the strings. "But those are old songs. I am looking for names for the next one." There is no weekly table where every hero must somehow arrive at precisely the same hour. This is an asynchronous Play-by-Post Forgotten Realms campaign, built to move alongside your life rather than demand that your life move around it. Play when you can. Morning before work, late at night, during a quiet afternoon, several times in a day, or after life has kept you occupied for a while. Write when inspiration finds you, explore at your own pace, and decide for yourself which roads are worth following. Your character exists alongside other adventurers inhabiting the same growing world. Paths can cross, friendships can form, rivalries can develop, information can travel, alliances can be forged, and actions can leave marks upon places that other players may eventually discover. There are stories already written across thousands of years of Forgotten Realms history, from fallen empires and ruined civilizations to legendary heroes, terrible villains, gods, wars, catastrophes, and mysteries that have survived centuries without answers. But between all those famous names are countless empty pages. The minstrel finally stops playing, and for a moment the tavern becomes strangely quiet. He places his lute beside him and produces an enormous weathered book. Hundreds of names fill its pages: some written in gold, some crossed away, some surrounded by notes, dates, places, victories, debts, and unfinished stories. Yet many pages remain completely empty. He dips his quill into the ink and looks toward you. "So... you can hear another story about Elminster, Drizzt, Waterdeep, and all the other legends of the Realms." The quill hovers above the next empty line. "Or you can give me a name to write, that will be told across legends along the history of the realms."

About me
I’ve been into D&D and tabletop games since I was 10, starting out with just a small group of friends and a big imagination. I was the “poor kid in the rich kid gang” back in college, but that didn’t stop me from diving deep into GMing and storytelling. One of my longest-running campaigns lasted 7 years—shaped and sharpened alongside a close friend who helped me grow into the GM I am today. I’d say I’m a pretty chill guy who just genuinely loves games, geek culture, and bringing people together. Whether it's comic books, conventions, movies, or nerding out over lore, I’m all in. Outside of games, I work in tech as a team lead and spend weekends volunteering with animal care—which is super rewarding. If anything I ever say or do in a game doesn’t sit right, please don’t hesitate to bring it up. I take feedback seriously—and I’ve been told I’m pretty good at it! Between leading teams and teaching others, especially when it comes to RPGs, I really enjoy helping folks grow and feel welcome at the table.

What Magic&Mystery brings to the table
Throughout the game, you can expect high-quality music to enhance the experience. I use tracks from well-known RPG composers, carefully selected license-free music from YouTube, and ambiance tracks from Patreons I support—some of which include animated maps and immersive soundscapes for that extra touch of atmosphere.
Homebrew rules
Potions: All potions can be used as a bonus action. Explosive Healing: If a healing die rolls its maximum value (e.g., a 4 on a d4), it "explodes" — you roll an additional die of the same type and add it to the total. Flanking: When flanking is applicable, it provides a +2 bonus to attack rolls instead of granting advantage. Puzzles & Riddles: Players may request a roll after 10 real-life minutes of attempting to solve the puzzle. All puzzles can be completed either through dice rolls or correct answers.

How Magic&Mystery creates a safe table
During Session 0 or upon joining the game, all players will have the opportunity to fill out a consent checklist form, which includes their soft and hard limits. I will personally check in to see if there are any questions about what each item refers to, and clarify anything that might be confusing. Players can feel confident that their boundaries and interests will be fully respected.
