About the adventure

You have done it. Your party saved the realm from an existential threat and got a handsome reward from the king. However, the trials you had to go through scarred all of you mentally and physically. You decided to retire and move to the southern welcoming realm of Andaluria. You bought a rundown vineyard with the reward from your old king and settled down to spend the rest of your lives enjoying the simple pleasures of honest work and countryside bliss. Then the attacks started, monsters of many kinds were sighted during the chilly summer nights and the incidents with broken bodies (or blood stains with no bodies to be found at all) piled up. It seems like a cruel joke of destiny. All was good in Andaluria until now. Apparently the gods, if any remain vigilant, have decided that it is not time for your party to rest yet. You got to dust your old swords and shields and magic tomes. IS THIS GAME FOR YOU? This game will mix monster hunting adventures (investigation+combat) with homebrew light managing mechanics (building up, expanding and managing the vineyard). Both realms of gameplay will interact as the story unfolds. I think you will be a good fit if you are into character-driven stories with 80% exploration/roleplaying/investigation and 20% high stakes combat. I strive to create an alive world that reacts to player actions and decisions but also evolves on its own with time. -Beginners welcome. I have introduced countless players to TTRPGs and new systems, with a pretty high success rate. -GM principles: --Fun and safety for players over everything else. --Player agency, meaningful consequences. --Fill the world with detail and convey it honestly. --This is OUR story. We will play to figure out what happens. --No plot armour. No chosen ones. Real stakes, real failure, real success. --No PvP. -Everybody, from any walk of life, is welcome at this table, as long as they respect and are kind to the other players. -This game is based on the official daggerheart campaign frame Dark heart of Andaluria. Andaluria is very clearly inspired by the south of Spain (Andalucia) and its culture and folklore so as a Spanish GM I am very motivated to bring this world to life.

About me

Hello! I have been an eternal GM since I started playing with friends 20 years ago. I feel that the hobby just fits my skills and inclinations and I derive great satisfaction from seeing my hard work rewarded by good vibes and people having fun around the table. I am avalible to run custom games for your group with any system or adventure you desire (within the guidelines of StartPlaying), DM me and we'll see! I used more system than I can remenber the name of but the main staples are: D&D, Call of Cthulhu, Cyberpunk and Traveller. Nowadays I am moving towards more modern system with less hour-long tactical combat and number crunching and more narrative tools inserted in the mechanics, e.g: Daggerheart and Beam saber. I generally run character driven stories with 80% roleplay/exploration/investigation and 20% combat. I like stories with conflict, high stakes, moral conundrums and a balance between real challenge (inside and outside of combat) and the chance for the characters to have meaningful arcs. I do not believe in plot armor, chosen ones or deux ex machina resolutions. I want your characters to live and achieve a narratively satisfying resolution but once the methaforical board is set your decisions and the dice will decide. I think that without real danger and chance of failure there is no real success. I am coming to Start Plaing Games for two reasons: to find dedicated players and to prove to myself I can be a real pro.

What TLDR brings to the table

My GM principles/style: 1- Inclusive for all. 2-Fun and safety first. 3-Very improvisational, striving to adapt and change the story to the player's decisions and the will of the dice gods. 4-Cinematic, roleplay heavy 5-No plot armour, no prophetic victory over evil. Real stakes, real danger, real success.
