About the adventure

Hey all! This is the one shot Meadow Lark campaign. Beginners are welcome but if we go slow we will probably need to do 2 or 3 sessions to finish. Ideally we finish in 2 maximum, but I put 3 on the listing just in case. I am still new to the system as well but have many years experience at running D&D. We will be running it via Discord and Roll20. If you are cool with running with a newer DM (who wouldn't be new right now I guess?) let's get a run in. Battles will likely be theater of the mind or pretty basic tokens while I get my bearings with the system. Please do not read the one-shot, but you can read the pre-gens PDF to figure out which characters you want to be if you have it.

About me

I've been playing and GMing for about ~25 years on and off. I have been hosting a board game group for about 15 years as well. I'm also an avid video gamer so I do just about anything nerdy.

Character creation

Creating your character

You will choose one of the pre-gens in the Meadow Lark campaign.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

You will need Discord and Roll20. Both can be run in your browser if you dont want to install Discord. Please try to have both working and tested before the session so we dont have any slowdown with technical stuff! It would be a good idea to read the Rules for Survival and Crawlers PDF for the game and also have your character sheet for your character. This is not mandatory but it will slow the game down.

What Jeremy brings to the table

This is a one-shot from the new Dungeon Crawler Carl RPG. I am halfway through book 8, so I know the vibe of how DCC the universe works very well. I like outside the box thinking, good combat, and fun plotlines for characters. I think there's a lot of fun that can be had with DCC plotlines like how Carl and Donut had pasts that can be dredged up or even new stuff in the dungeon itself! I'm fine with Rule of Cool if thats what everyone at the table wants, but I typically stick to the rules otherwise. I dont fudge dice, if you annihilate the enemies, you rock, if they kick your butt, so be it! Please let me know if you have any questions!

Safety

How Jeremy creates a safe table

Session 0 we will go over what sort of things everyone is comfortable with or more importantly anything people AREN'T comfortable with. I will check in with everyone after a session individually to make sure everything went okay and everyone felt comfortable. My X, N & O cards are messaged to me directly so that no one has to feel self conscious about using them. If they want to say it verbally, that is cool too. I just want to be sure anyone feels safe in using it. You can see more in the Safety Tools section.
