About the adventure
This One-shot will be played using the adventurers league ruleset, follow the link to my server for details if you don't already have a character Phlan is a city struggling to hold itself together. With no strong authority to keep order, powerful factions compete for influence while danger grows in the streets. Now, the Cult of the Dragon has arrived, bringing with it a sinister agenda that threatens to plunge the city into even greater chaos. Your adventure begins with a series of urgent missions throughout Phlan. You may be called upon to investigate suspicious activity, protect vulnerable citizens, recover something important, or venture into places where few would willingly go. Each mission offers a new challenge and another glimpse into the dangers gathering within the city. As you work your way through Phlan, you will encounter some of the city's most powerful factions and discover that the Cult is not the only force pursuing its own interests. Allies can be found in unexpected places, but knowing who to trust may prove just as important as knowing when to draw your weapon. Defiance in Phlan is an introductory Adventurers League adventure designed to let new and experienced players jump straight into the action. Choose your mission, gather your companions, and help defend a city caught between competing powers. Phlan needs heroes, and there is no shortage of trouble waiting for them.

What Knights of The TableTop (Riley) brings to the table
I want my games to feel like you're sitting around a table with a group of friends telling an adventure together. I'll provide character voices, atmospheric music, occasional sound effects, maps, and everything you need to run the adventure. I put particular emphasis on making NPCs feel distinct and giving locations their own atmosphere. I have a strong understanding of the rules and will do my best to keep the game moving without constantly stopping to look things up. I enjoy tactical combat, and smart positioning, creative use of abilities, and good teamwork will absolutely be rewarded. At the same time, I'm not interested in punishing players simply for not knowing every rule. If you're new, I'll help you learn. If you want to try something unusual, tell me what you're attempting and we'll figure out how to make it work. Most importantly, everyone at the table gets a chance to contribute. I want players to feel comfortable taking the spotlight, but I also keep an eye on the table to make sure nobody gets left behind.

Safety
How Knights of The TableTop (Riley) creates a safe table
Player comfort is important to me, and I want everyone to feel safe speaking up when something isn't working for them. Before the game, I'll ask each player to privately message me their Lines and Veils so I know what subjects to avoid or handle carefully. You never need to explain why something is a boundary. During the game, we will use a simple X-Card system through Discord. If something happens that makes you uncomfortable, simply type X in the chat. You don't need to justify it, explain yourself, or ask permission. I'll immediately move the scene in another direction. After each session, I also like to check in with players and ask three simple questions: - What did you like? - What didn't you like? - What would you like to see next time? Your feedback helps me make future sessions better and ensures that the game remains a place everyone wants to come back to.
