About the adventure
The world of Krynn stands on the brink of war. After years of uneasy peace, armies are once again gathering, ancient powers are stirring, and rumors of mysterious forces moving across the land have begun to spread. In the midst of this growing conflict, ordinary people are being forced to make extraordinary choices. Your journey begins in the quiet town of Vogler, where life has continued largely untouched by the growing tensions beyond its borders. But that peace cannot last forever. As the threat of war draws closer, you and your companions will find yourselves caught up in events far larger than you could have imagined. Your adventure will carry you across a war torn land filled with ancient ruins, dangerous battlefields, powerful magic, and enemies unlike anything you have faced before. Along the way, you will forge alliances, make difficult choices, and uncover pieces of a conflict tied to the ancient history of Krynn. Shadow of the Dragon Queen is an epic adventure of war, friendship, sacrifice, and heroism set in the legendary world of Dragonlance. Whether you are a veteran of Krynn or discovering the setting for the first time, your choices will shape the story as the forces of darkness gather. The war is coming. The question is not whether you will be drawn into it, but what kind of heroes you will become when it arrives.

I have been dming for just under 8 years. I like my games to feel fun, without losing immersion. I like to use music, dynamic lighting, and the occasional sound effects to enhance my games!
View Profile →Character creation
Creating your character
Characters will begin at Level 1 and will be created according to the current Adventurers League character-creation rules. Your character must be legal for Adventurers League play. The campaign is set in Dragonlance. Please use the currently approved character options for Adventurers League. You may create your character before the first session or work with me to build one. If you're new to D&D or Adventurers League, don't worry! I'm happy to help you build a character and explain how AL character creation works. Please have your character sheet ready before the session begins whenever possible. If you already have an Adventurers League character you'd like to bring, let me know beforehand so I can make sure everything is ready to go.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Before your first session: - Join the game's Discord server (Server Invite Link: https://discord.gg/KRmZEspBjj) - Make sure you can access Owlbear Rodeo. (Should be light enough to run even on mobile devices) - Make sure your microphone works and that you have a reasonably quiet place to play. I use Discord for voice chat, announcements, and between-session communication, while Owlbear Rodeo is used for maps and combat. You do not need a powerful computer or a complicated VTT setup. If you can use Discord and open a web browser, you're ready to play.
What Knights of The TableTop (Riley) brings to the table
I want my games to feel like you're sitting around a table with a group of friends telling an adventure together. I'll provide character voices, atmospheric music, occasional sound effects, maps, and everything you need to run the adventure. I put particular emphasis on making NPCs feel distinct and giving locations their own atmosphere. I have a strong understanding of the rules and will do my best to keep the game moving without constantly stopping to look things up. I enjoy tactical combat, and smart positioning, creative use of abilities, and good teamwork will absolutely be rewarded. At the same time, I'm not interested in punishing players simply for not knowing every rule. If you're new, I'll help you learn. If you want to try something unusual, tell me what you're attempting and we'll figure out how to make it work. Most importantly, everyone at the table gets a chance to contribute. I want players to feel comfortable taking the spotlight, but I also keep an eye on the table to make sure nobody gets left behind.

Safety
How Knights of The TableTop (Riley) creates a safe table
Player comfort is important to me, and I want everyone to feel safe speaking up when something isn't working for them. Before the game, I'll ask each player to privately message me their Lines and Veils so I know what subjects to avoid or handle carefully. You never need to explain why something is a boundary. During the game, we will use a simple X-Card system through Discord. If something happens that makes you uncomfortable, simply type X in the chat. You don't need to justify it, explain yourself, or ask permission. I'll immediately move the scene in another direction. After each session, I also like to check in with players and ask three simple questions: - What did you like? - What didn't you like? - What would you like to see next time? Your feedback helps me make future sessions better and ensures that the game remains a place everyone wants to come back to.
